I had to cut the sides of the dash as my 84 had the old knob style radio that died. I tried a retro sound radio at twice this price and wasn’t impressed. This KENWOOD sounds great, looks good with the silver styling and custom led backlight. Lots of colors to choose from. I like the front, rear, and sub pre outs. Lots of settings like speaker crossover, eq, loudness, bass boost, sub level etc. KENWOOD is owned by JVC and this is very similar to my jvc 925bts

🎼This is an amazing CD player! We were using it as we were cruising across the fairly rough lake, no skips no errors… Just happy music!🎶

I recently installed the KENWOOD KMR-D382BT Stereo on my 2007 Malibu Wakesetter, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results.Easy to Install: The installation process was straightforward. Even for someone with basic technical skills, it was a breeze to set up.Clear Instructions: The instructions provided were clear and easy to follow. They made the installation process smooth and hassle-free.Great USB and Bluetooth Connectivity: The stereo comes with both USB and Bluetooth options, and both work flawlessly. I can easily connect my devices and enjoy my music without any issues.User-Friendly Navigation: Navigating through the stereo’s features is very intuitive. The controls are well-designed, making it simple to switch between modes and adjust settings.Significant Upgrade Over Stock: This stereo is a significant upgrade over the stock unit. The sound quality is excellent, and the added features like Bluetooth and USB connectivity make a huge difference.Overall, the KENWOOD KMR-D382BT Stereo has greatly enhanced my boating experience. It’s a top-notch product that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their boat’s audio system.

Works great. Installed with a great magnetic cover. Installed on 2006 Ranger Z21 so no salt to deal with. Be careful and should last another 10-15 year like my last Kenwood in it.

I’m very disappointed. This unit was marketed as a marine radio. After having it professionally installed on my boat, it stopped working after 3 months (I purchased the unit new). The Amazon vendor instructed me to call United Radio for a warranty repair… United Radio told me the unit was not repairable do to corrosion damage... I went back to the Amazon vendor who continued sending me on a phone chase to call Kenwood… Kenwood also failed to replace this expensive unit that it marketed as a “MARINE” stereo telling me corrosion damage was not covered under the warranty. I fully understand I did not purchase a waterproof unit but any person that owns a boat with a stereo unit installed in their helm would assume something labeled “MARINE” could take a beating in the sea environment. The unit was covered by my dashboard and face housing and still could not handle the sea moisture. SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY, AND AVOID HEADACHE!! This vendor should’ve replaced the unit no questions asked or given my money back. Instead they waisted my time sending me to call, email, and talk to 3rd party’s who were absolutely no help.

I installed this in our Formula 330 SS, with two hard wired KCA-RC55MR remote controls. One on the stern and one at the helm. Install was straight forward since it was replacing a very similar Kenwood head unit. I installed the remotes with the required Y cable and two feed cables as needed. I could not get these to both work at the same time for several days and the documentation was short of useless. After some in depth google searching I found instructions on how these are to be added. Hopefully this helps someone else out also.Instructions:"When connecting the remote control KCA-RC107MR/ KCA-RC55MR (Optional accessory) to this unit, you should register the ID for KCA-RC107MR/ KCA-RC55MR.Press [SRC] and select a Standby ("STANDBY") using [Control] knob.Refer to .Press [Control] knob.Enters the Function setting mode.Select "Initial Settings" > "Remote Settings" > "Remote ID Set" using [Control] knob. For how to use [Control] knob, refer to .A remote control ID list is displayed.
