High quality Fuel Line One Way Check Valve
~ Non return check valve is made of premium Aluminium Alloy, well mould, the life of aluminum head is longer than plastic one, more reliable. Strong thread connector, anti-slide design, Hose clamp is highly recommended.
~ This inline check valve is suitable for petrol, diesel, water, oil. It is applicable to many diesel / bio fuel systems / Carburetors and low pressure fuel systems where you desire fuel to only flow one way. Not fit for methyl alcohol.
Feature
~ Arrow marked on valve, showing fluid flow direction. Prevents fuel from returning back to the tank and keeps it in the line. Will solve hard/slow starting issues by keeping fuel at the carburetor.
~ connect the fuel line. You can use some hose clamps which can make sure the pipes don't drop off.

~ Medium used: Diesel oil, gasoline, water, etc. (not suitable for methanol, because methanol will produce formic acid when electrified, which will corrode the interior of the product and lead to product failure)

The main advantage of a non-return check valve is its simple design. This simple design make the check valves has a small size and easy to install, making maintenance easier and more efficient The minimum upstream pressure required to operate the aluminum one-way check valve is 2.9psi (0.2 bar).

These are suppose to be for a 5/8" (16mm) hose, which has an ID of 12.5mm. the whole purpose is to allow a large volume in.These one way fittings have an ID of 7.8mm, with an even smaller hole of 3.81mm inside. These would restrict the flow terribly defeating the purpose.

I bought this to use with a boat bilge pump, since I don't want water running back through the hose. Right away I noticed that the center orifice or aperture was very small, much smaller than the interior diameter of the inlet and outlet fittings. When I tested it with clean water, the small diameter wasn't a problem. It seemed to pass a decent volume of water through. It also worked correctly as a check valve or backflow preventer, water would not come back down the line into the pump.Unfortunately, when I actually used it in my boat, it clogged up with small bilge debris within an hour. I've since removed it and won't use it in my boat again.3 stars for functioning properly, I considered 2 but I'm probably using it in a way the manufacturer didn't envision. Would probably work fine for other applications with cleaner liquids.
