Didn’t fit the Honda insert. When programmed fib was inserted, it pushed down on a button and stayed lit. Maybe it works with different year cars.

This key is of poor quality. It broke the first time I tried to unlock the car after having the key cut. Luckily the locksmith replaced it free of charge.

1. Order product2. Ace hardware in ga- charged me $50 to cut each key.3. Open old key-a.remove screw and pry electronic clicker out.b. Electronic clicker has a clasp on top- open and remove chip out.c. Put chip into same piece from new key, close clasp.d. Put new electronic clicker(with original honda chip) into new case and screw it shut.e. Use new key like always…!Does not have HONDA logo($250 at dealership), 2 new keys for less than 1/4th of dealership price- TOTALLY WORTH IT.Product quality is sturdy, seems well made.

I had to take the circuit board out of the electronics case, but it all fit perfectly after that. True Value charged $4 to cut the key. I was hoping that I could transfer the cut key, but it was not possible since it is molded into the plastic. But at four dollars to cut it at the hardware store I'm not going to complain. Just want people to know that if they expect to transfer the cut key part. Wish I hadn't waitied so long to do this.

My Honda key fell apart, prompting me to seek a solution on Amazon. I stumbled upon this product and placed an order, only to realize upon receiving it that the key is permanently fixed to the key fob, making it non-interchangeable. This design is beneficial if one simply wants to replace the internal components and rekey the key. Despite attempting to modify the unit by cannibalizing it, my efforts were unsuccessful. Determined to find a solution, I devised a plan. With a small drill bit and this set https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PS8V4V3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 , I managed to securely reattach my key fob shell to my old unit, restoring it to its original condition.

This worked great! Had taken my keys to Honda dealership to have batteries replaced in the fob, because I didn't know if that would require reprogramming. Well they couldn't remove the screw from the fob so they had to drill it out and try using a larger screw. Charged me $25 to do that. Within days the key fob kept popping apart when I would start the van because the new screw wasn't holding it together. Eventually the part securing the key couldn't handle the torque and broke off. I was so glad to find this affordable replacement. I got the new key cut by a locksmith for $15 and moved the old remote into the new case. Works like a charm for a fraction of what it would have cost me to get a new one from the dealer.

The Key Fob Keyless Entry Uncut Remote Shell Case & Pad for my 2011-2013 Honda Odyssey has served its purpose, but it comes with a couple of shortcomings that need addressing. While it offers a cost-effective solution, there are a few inconveniences that one should be aware of:**Affordable Alternative (3/5):** This shell case provides a budget-friendly option for replacing a damaged or worn-out key fob. It's certainly more cost-effective than purchasing a brand-new remote.**Key Still Needs to be Cut (2/5):** One of the major drawbacks of this shell case is that it doesn't eliminate the need to have your key cut. This process can be an added inconvenience and expense, detracting from the overall appeal of this product.**Requires a Super Small Screwdriver (3/5):** Opening and assembling the shell case requires the use of a super small screwdriver. While this isn't a deal-breaker, it can be a bit fiddly and may not be convenient for everyone.**Basic Functionality (3/5):** The shell case does its job by holding the key fob components and buttons securely. It's a functional solution, but it doesn't offer any advanced features or enhancements. In summary, the Key Fob Keyless Entry Uncut Remote Shell Case & Pad for 2011-2013 Honda Odyssey provides an affordable alternative for those in need of a replacement. However, the fact that the key still needs to be cut and the requirement of a super small screwdriver for assembly are notable inconveniences. It's a decent option for those looking for a basic and cost-effective solution, but it falls short in terms of streamlining the key replacement process.

Honda keys suck. They break at the plastic. Bought these for our 2011 Odyssey and had them cut at a local hardware store - it was spendy (about $20 for each key), but we had 2 broken keys and it was so worth doing that vs. spending 2 hours at the dealership to have them "reprogram" the keys (which is totally unnecessary) and charge us HUGE amounts of money (I think over $150/$200 per key) I initially took the entire part out of the original key fob casing (with the buttons) and put it into the new casing - the casing didn't quite fit together exactly so I went a layer deeper and transferred the battery and guts to the new housing. Super easy and worked like a charm. These keys feel more solid than the original Honda keys do. You will need an eyeglasses screwdriver for the tiny screw in the back. All in about $75 for two brand new keys. Note - these do not replace lost keys - you have to have the insides of your original key(s) to make them work. Highly recommended.
