Item does as it says but the front and rear panels are just think cardboard. If your not concerned about people stealing keys than this is for you. The lock works well and the key fobs are nice but I dont use them I bought it to organize keys for my garage tool boxes.

This is a simple key "safe" that is lightweight, easy to program, and easy to install. It runs on 2 AAA batteries but if the batteries die the user manual tells you how to "hot jump" it (with another battery despite that the batteries are in the inside). It is easy to change the admin passcode or any user passcode, and to reprogram the backup "keys" (which I'm not using since I don't have a use for them). It comes with lots of key hanging tabs with labels in 3 colors and both the inside and outside of the door can hold keys or other small items.Better than an old lockbox for a home use scenario where keeping keys in a garage or shed as backup is desired with passcode and some basic security protection. Much better than throwing keys into a drawer or bowl.

This will come in very handy if you have keys to lock up. I use it for my garage workshop to lock up the keys for the toolboxes, etc, while I'm not there.

I had high hopes for this box,Very nice looking compared to other boxes.Has a keypad which is much nicer vs the dial combo types. However it has a very large glaring flaw. The backing plate is made of some sort of hardboard or cardboard. Its very flimsy and also flexes alot.If you were trying to keep someone out of this box. They could literally just rip this box off the wall and punch a hole through it and grab all your keys.If the backing plate was aluminum or steel would have made this alot better. For a low security keep good people honest this would be fine. I wouldn't lock any keys you wouldnt want to lose in here
