The part was defective. After installing the new part it was found to be faulty, broken. Exhaust flumes were seen coming out of it, which it should never do. Do not recommend using this product.

When I got it I noticed the pins to the connector was bent oddly but didn’t think much of it. I put it on and seemed to work fine for about 2 weeks until my check engine light came back on with a different code but still was about the EGR. So I reset the light and 3 days later it came back on. I then cleaned it where it looked almost new and lasted only a week then the light came back on with 2 codes. It may be way cheaper than other EGR valves but after this experience. It’s best to spend the extra money

Went with this unit over the more bought-rated one, (complaints were in that other one concerning base breakage), this one weighs quite a bit more, was not disappointed...Works-fits as OEM!
