The fabric is super soft. But be aware this purchase is not through Amazon. If you need to return you have to pay your own way and it is a $5.00 restocking fee. I get it they are a small family company. But it would have been nice to know this prior to me adding to my baby registry. If you are 100% sure on the size and pattern highly recommend.
