The strap came including a pouch inside a plastic bag. No instruction! Only a little cloth as courtesy. After adjusting the strap to the shoulder shape the pouch becomes useless. So the first task is to adjust the straight metal to a shoulder shape. And here starts and stops the usage of this strap. The metal (or whatever is inside) is so sturdy that I was not able to adjust it to my shoulder shape. I put the middle over an edge!! and bend both sides down. I had to use all my strength (all of it!!) to do so. I got a curve, but far away from a shoulder shape. A shoulder is formed like an U, all what I produced was a light curved V or better a right angle. In this form the strap would move around my shoulder, hurt me and I would not be able to play the sax. The action also produced nearly damage to the buttons. Through the bending they were nearly pulled out of the material. You should open them before starting. The metal strip inside is definitively to strong for bending with your hands. You need also to adjust from time to time the shape depending of your closing. If you need a jacket outside, perhaps you need only a shirt inside. Since you are not able to adjust the strap you can't share it either.I am not sure if the manufacturer ever tried to bend the metal. In the sales text they write "Women's strength is not enough, can be placed on the thighs and pressed hard". Don't even try this ! You will hurt yourself. Would I have a vice I could perhaps adjust it so it would fit somehow. But that is not how this should work. The hook to put on your sax seams It has a little rubber tube over the metal to protect your sax. OK, perhaps a little bit small. The cord looks sturdy, the knot is secured by a decorative metal sleeve. The seam in the leather (no label you see normally when leather is used) look well done. There is not more I can say since I was not able to use it with my sax. Perhaps if the thickness of the metal would be reduce I would be able to bend it.

This is definitely the most interesting saxophone strap I’ve ever encountered. It’s decently comfortable, and adjustable- does the job well. It does come flat and you have to bend it into shape. It worked best bending it over my thigh, but after the initial bend, was kind of difficult to bend further. All in all, it’s attractive and does keep the pressure off your neck.

Spend hours bending aluminum in straps and never got them to not slide down under weight ofsaxophones.

I ordered this for my daughter who is just learning the saxophone. She was having trouble playing while standing because the neck strap provided by Yamaha was uncomfortable and pulled her head down while she played. I thought I would try this strap because it uses the player's shoulders instead of neck to hold up the instrument. It made a HUGE difference! She loved it right away and said that it even made her saxophone feel like it weighed less. She spent some time playing while standing and walking around with her sax on this strap. She said it was comfortable and that there was nothing digging into her shoulders or neck. As a parent who wants my child to enjoy learning a new instrument, I was happy that this trap improved my daughter's playing experience so much.As far as the straps themselves go:They are quite sturdy and I was happy to see almost no plastic parts. It feels durable, and actually looks nicer than the photos in the Amazon add. It came nicely packaged and also included a cloth for cleaning and wiping down the saxophone. Bonus! For me, the only thing that was a struggle was bending. The seller was NOT joking when they said this would require some serious muscle to put into shape. I found that bending over my knee was a good start, but ultimately I had to use a hard surface and force my palm into the inside of the bend to get enough leverage. On the bright side, I guess they won't easily change shape! While it was not the easiest time bending these into shape, I am ultimately very happy with this shoulder harness. It greatly improved the comfort of playing the saxophone for my daughter and she thought they were very comfortable. They definitely did their job!

This is hands down my new favorite saxophone strap. I had tried several different types of straps for my alto saxophone but they were uncomfortable on my neck. This allows me to play comfortably for hours. It only took several minutes to get it set to my shoulders.

The kit arrives flat, with zero instructions. So, I head to the Amazon listing, because often that is where you find some kind of instructions either in the description or in the reviews.“Arrives flat…. Woman’s strength is not enough. Can be placed on the thighs and pressed hard.”Um, excuse me?I am a woman. Whose thighs do I have to use to bend this thing? Do I need my husband to do this for me? Will he use his thighs or mine? Or can his manly, burly presence bend them without need of someone’s thighs? What if I don’t have a man around the house to help me?!? What if my thighs and shoulders aren’t the same size?!?How insulting!I was fully capable of bending the pieces with my own two female hands - no thighs required! Unfortunately, there is no clear indication of how much curve to apply and after 20 minutes of trying to adjust things to finagle a right fit, I gave up. The straps have snaps to make them adjustable, but the metal ends dig into my chest and shoulder blades enough with just me TUGGING on the rope, that I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it would be to have my alto dangling from the hook.Nice in theory. Lousy execution. But maybe I should have asked for a man’s help.
