This is the best 17 bucks i ever spent. The kid loves it. He is almost 6 and not very imaginative... Or, spoiled... He expects to be entertained. He does like crafts but gets bored easy. He just had his tonsils out a few weeks ago so we needed something for these "feel better but dont wanna push it",days. Tonsils arent the love to eat ice cream days they make it out to be, btw! Its serious and a long, slow recovery. Play doh is cool but he crushes it in rugs and it drys and is forever ruined. This stuff is some kind of alien technology, i swear! Its cool.. it is sand but stays together, its a lil stringy like slime but doesnt stick. It has sand texture but doesnt fall apart, unless u intend to break it up... You can pack it harder to make it more stable.. its an odd contradiction. Its actually something i want to play with too! but he was super excited when he saw it. Its a good toy for at home, bored, days when mommy isnt in a cleaning up mood. Thats everyday.. im buying every set they make! Also, the box itself is awesome. All parents knows the value of a good box or bag. .. it's just great through and through

Magnetic sand. Very fun to play with, without the mess. Like playdoh but better. Great storage case to contain the mess. Kids from 4-12 have fun with. 10/10 product.

The product its self is ok. Just be mindful that you have to pay for the return and because of its weight it is quite expensive. I have paid £10 non refundable.

I have a developmentally delayed 4 year old with sensory needs and this is his favorite toy. He is usually flitting about from one activity to another and rarely stays focused on a single task. This box can easily keep him entertained for 15 to 30 minutes. I do wish the case had a handle so the little ones can carry it around more easily. Still, he rarely drops it. We have him sit on foam squares when we open it up as any spills sweeps easily off the foam. Anything that falls on our low pile rug is easily picked up or vacuumed up (if it has been scrubbed into the rug already). The double sided tools are sturdy and well made for little hands that need a broader grip. The one piece of advice I will offer is that this is not meant for a child who might try to eat the sand or rub their eyes with dusty hands. On the picture you will notice our "sand" turned blue because it was mixed with another 1lb blue sand packet which was gifted to us - a pleasant surprise. So if you're little one wants a color other than the typical brown, just buy a 1lb bag of the preferred color and mix it together.

I thought it would come with more sand. It's only a small amount of sand that comes with it. My toddler still loves playing with it however.

This is so much better than random plastic containers to storage the kinetic sand away when not played!Before we got this, we used a food plastic container to keep the sand when not played and pour them out on the play table when played, and it’s so annoying having to pickup every small pieces from the play table when done playing! So we decided to get this to play on and storage away both in one. So much better! Saves me lots of time cleaning up.At first tho I wasn’t sure it could hold 8lb of the kinetic sand we got, glad it works out great! Either side can hold 8lb of sand without it filling over the edge so we could put all the sand on one side when putting away and close the other side of lid on top. It’s big, and you can use one side for molding and one side for the rest of the sand. The only thing I’d say to make it better would be, both me and my daughter think the white side should be evenly flat instead of being so uneven like the other side, it would make it much better to display the molded figures to however we want instead of having dents and pop ups everywhere, flat would be so much better on one side.All in all it’s definitely worth getting for easier putting away and cleaning up.

I work with as a community-based therapist and my clients love this product. There isn't enough sand to fill the case even halfway, which is disappointing. The But the most frustrating thing about this kinetic sand case is the picture makes it look as though it has a carrying case. Once the product is unpacked from the cardboard, however, there is no handle. As someone who travels for work and needs to be easily able to carry toys, games and other therapeutic items, the lack of handle was a let-down and the picture was misleading. The other issue is that on both sides of the case there is something sharp that protrudes from the case. Look at the middle of the case in the pictures to see what I'm referencing. Other than these minor issues this is a great product of relatively good value.

I bought this for my toddler who has the attention span of a butterfly and its hard to find things she likes to do. I'm so happy I got this because not only its entertaining for her, its also educational. Its excellent for her sensory development! The texture is so odd for her! I think the perfect age to introduce this should be above +18 months.And did I mention easy clean up?? You just take some more sand and roll it around the mess and it all just clumps up together.Its always best to work on a clean floor. If you have dust and trash on the floor you will compromise the quality of the sand.

I wasted too much time trying to figure out what brand of kinetic sand to buy 😜. I ended up getting this set and a set of purple glitter Cool Sand to compare. Both work great, but my kids and I love this set so much better!! This sand is softer feeling and flows better (but still packs and molds very well). It does not stick to my hands or my mom’s or daughter’s hands, but it did stick to my oldest sons hands. Weird right? Not just once, but every time we get it out, it sticks to his hands and not anyone else’s. So I’m thinking other reviews of sticky sand may have more to do with the particular person than the sand itself. The Cool Sand was also fun, but just so dry feeling compared to the Kinetic Sand. I am planning on buying a bag or two more of this plain colored Kinetic Sand to add to this kit so that we can build bigger things :). The set includes a good amount, we just want more😜.
