I bought this stool for my kitchen to use as a step ladder and have it double as a stool to sit on. Today, after finding screws on my floor for several days, I finally realized they were coming out of the hinges holding the two legs together at the top. In checking both hinges I found all the screws were loose, half way out or simply missing. It is impossible to get a screwdriver in the tight angle where the legs meet to replace the screws. Plus even if you could the holes are probably stripped and they wouldn't hold if they were to be replaced or tightened.Just yesterday I was standing on the top of the stool replacing some dishes on a top shelf and I noticed it was suddenly wobbly. This stool is a real danger and the manufacturer needs to be warned of the liability of having a product this dangerous.Since the screws are impossible to replace this stool is now totally useless and it is only a little over two years old. I would like to return it and get my money back. Thank you.

I love this item! First I ordered it in white thinking that it would look good with my white kitchen cabinets with black hardware, but the white was far too white and looked out of place in my kitchen. The black one works much better. It's sort of a soft black, almost like a dark espresso. The stain was worn off in a couple of places. I did not take stars off because I like the item so much, also I solved the problem by coloring in those small areas with a black Sharpie

Perfect for a kitchen stool. You can sit on it to watch tv, or climb on it to reach that high cabinet. It looks great, too. Love it!

The box came damaged but was happy it did not affect the product. Perfect for extra countertop seating, watering plants on higher shelves, and reaching upper cabinets. It is solid wood, however like other reviews, I would not expect miracles using this on a daily basis with a lot of weight. It’s a step stool. I’m 5’8”, 165lbs and feel completely comfortable on it.

Looks great and functional but remember when its new the paint is very glossy so be careful standing on it until its worn a bit.

I knew right off the bat the perfect stool wasout there, and it still might be. I just didn’t want to pay through the nose for that perfect stool. So, instead I got the KINGBO Adult(?) Step Stool, which for the money, is the step stool I am using for the specific purpose I intended. Sure, I could have spent a lot more time and money to get an overbuilt, OSHA approved, do it all, fully adjustable, bulletproof design, super step stool, but I would have paid more and probably would have need to get it it’s own shed or coveted spot in the garage for it to be stored. I needed something that could live in our closet, not take up too much space, open with one hand (or no hands!) and not look like a transformer if left out in plain view. The KINGBO is sturdy enough (but I wouldn’t do more than reach for the upper bar in our closet), opens with a flick or the wrist (which is saying a lot since most stools require two hands) folds flat enough (so it sticks right up against the closet wall without encroaching into the closet space at all and the bottom step even folds high enough to clear any shoes that might be in the way…shoes not boots), and is more like an old piece of ‘70’s furniture than it does a Transformer or piece of art (nothing wrong with that at all.). I’m not a big person, just under 170 lbs. but I can comfortably walk up the steps to the top with a stack of clothes on hangers and not feel like the KONGNO will crumple under my weight from the pressure. So, all in all, I am (so far) happy with my purpose and can recommend the KINGBO as a good step stool.
