Finally found one that is made of heavy brass with a chrome plate. Buy this one and don't even bother with any that are made of aluminum. I have had both and the aluminum one will not even begin to do the job on a really stuck cartridge. This one was lass than 1/2 the price I paid for the one at the local Lowe's Hardware and is 5X better. You do the math!

Tip of the puller broke into pieces while trying to remove a cartridge and I had to buy a better quality puller to complete the job

Great moen cartridge tool. Its heavy duty metal, so it will last many years, which i need since im a plumber. The big box stores are the cheap light weight alluminum ones and they break. I broke several.

Save yourself some grief & soar muscles. This tool only pulls your muscles.It is "NOT" a true puller as the type found in the automotive industry to effortlessly remove gears, bearings or steering wheels...However , it does work great as a paper weight on your desk.

Plastic removal tool that I got with the replacement cartridge didn't do the job for me. This puller worked fine. Can only judge on my situation, but definitely worth trying before calling in an expensive plumber to loosen it up, which was my next step. It allowed me to rotate the old stuck cartridge so I could just pull it out with pliers. Now I get to use it every 8 years or so, or until I croak.

This product works well; however, my cartridge was lodged in so well that the puller caused the cartridge to snap. If this happens to you, you will need to drill out the remainder of the cartridge.

I used this to pull a couple of Moen cartridges. They were in tight after years of use and I doubt I would have been able to do so with locking pliers.

It did the job but the quality was just okay. They lead you to believe this is a Moen puller and it's not.
