It is not black. I have attached pictures with a black faucet so you can compare and see how different it looks to actual black. It is more of a gun metal which it looks nice but not black.There is no way to secure it to the counter from underneath. You will be left to fend for yourself on how to secure it. I had to use silicone and leave it overnight. For now it is holding strong, we will see for how long.The strainer is a cheap cheap one, in fact it doesn't even fit the sink properly. I attached pictures of it so you can see for yourself. If you look at it closely you will see that it is a little bigger than the space the sink has for it.Be careful with the bottom of the sink. It is delicate and it gets easily scratched when putting it into the countertop. This might not be a problem if you have cabinets that will eventually hide it but if you don't like me and the bottom will be left exposed then it wont look nice being all scratched up.

Size was perfect I knew that from what I needed measurement wise but can scratch easily I mean easily I am careful should have got the stainless, but DANG the chrome black looks so very good I am truly happy use the sink guard that comes with it

Well constructed sink. Easy to install and use. We use it for an outdoor kitchen space. Would also be great for a small wet bar. Looks great and is easy to clean. The bottom grate helps keep dishes off the bottom of the sink.

Lovely sink, perfect size for a smaller kitchen. We were doing a remodel on another house. We did, however, use some plumbing hookups from Lowe's but absolutely no complaints. We would purchase again.

This sink was perfect for our needs. It’s really well made and looks great. The finish is nice looking. It came with some accessories including a rack for the bottom and a rubber spoon holder. It was easy to install and works great. It’s beautiful, so happy with it.

This is a very nice sink for the money, but it’s not a true black(more of a black chrome shine to it. Still worked very well for our needs but just surprised it wasn’t as a dark “matte” black that we were planning for.

Very attractive sink, superbly constructed. It is heavy and is not noisy in use like lightweight sinks. Deep enough to be effective when washing large pots and pans, and keeps splashing to a minimum. I like that it comes with a matching bottom grid, very useful. Excellent sink at a decent price, recommended.
