This was a PAIN to put together and the end result is NOT worth the time it took to assemble. The instructions are just pictures with no written instructions, and contain multiple steps within each step. Normally, just visuals can get you pretty far - except that the visuals are all from one angle, so anything on the back side of the board that you have to screw in is pretty much guess work. There is next to no specification to these instructions so trying to figure out which screws go into what holes is tricky. A few examples: the board on the back has a side with a bunch of divet lines. There is no specification as to which side that board goes in - then you find out three steps later that the dots should have been facing outward - despite zero direction even in that step and nothing on the visuals indicating that they should be this way. I just happened to figure out that it should’ve gone in the other way because you can’t tell where to nail otherwise. Of course, it was too late to fix without disassembling half of what you already put together. It’s just you guessing based on where the nails are supposed to be hammered into. Additionally, they sent several of the wrong screws and the ones holding the center trash can drawer were too big to get the dividing walls to line up. This caused the door on the right side of the cabinet to be unable to fully shut at the very end after everything else was assembled. Installing that wall was maybe the fourth step of 20. The instructions also require you to flip the entire unit multiple times. If you don’t have two able people, you can’t do it. It’s especially hard because it requires you to flip it multiple times after the wheels are on, which makes it ten times harder. In all, I probably spent about 8 hours on this over three days, with the help of my partner. I have assembled MANY pieces of furniture - this was by far the worst thing I’ve ever had to assemble. A few other notes: the tail of the island that flips up is at a 15 degree slant upward from the center island (doesn’t matter where you adjust the metal hinges), the drawers are thinner and weaker than cardboard, there are no extra building materials - so you have to buy extra if they send you even a couple of wrong ones (they sent several wrong ones).Suggestions for people who are still wanting to get it:- if something doesn’t line up, it is 1000% worth taking a tape measure, going to the store and buying a screw or bolt that is slightly shorter or longer to help get it to line up.- already mentioned this, but the back board dotted side should be facing outward as opposed to facing the interior cabinet side so you know where to screw- spend like 15 minutes thoroughly looking through the instructions in their entirety before assembling-check all of your equipment before starting the project. Make sure everything is there- line up all of the boards in numerical order so you know what to reach for. Line up all of your screws, nuts, bolts and tools in alphabetical order. Note: some bags will say C1 and C2, and some bags will just have two items in them to imply that there is a 1 and 2 - this is not specified in the instructions so check the normal C bag (or whatever letter it is) first and see if it’s the same screw or bolt or tool that is displayed in the visual.- don’t necessarily trust the hole count that is on the visual in the instruction - I would genuinely try to see if you can find instructions on YouTube or something- if you can, avoid flipping the island completely altogether. I would suggest flipping it on its side as opposed to completely over - way more difficult to get back up and once the tail/wing and top is on, it could splinter if you put too much pressure on it when flipping it back overIn all, I would highly recommend just looking in a store or thrift store near you for something pre-assembled (at least partially).

Perfect for our small home. Kitchen was big enough for the island, which fit perfectly and matches my countertops and counters. Gave us the extra storage space we needed plus extra space for guests with the bar space. Easily moved out of the way if need be. Came in one box. Luckily I was home so the driver moved it into the house for me bc it was very heavy. Only downside was assembly. Every single part of the island had to be constructed but I was able to complete it in one afternoon with a 15 month old.
