Despite this being a little too thick for our kitchen sink/counter set up, the grooves in the design seem to trap the water more than help drain it. Also, with the silicone mat being flat, the water just pools and doesn't really drain. I think the product would benefit from an improved design like taking away the super raised ridges and making the back of the mat elevated to promote proper water draining

I like this splash guard because it is slightly tilted on the back, some of the others I looked at were flat. When the water splashes onto it, it protects the back of the faucet and the water flows down back into the sink. It's rubbery and very flexible. The cut out hole for the faucet could fit many different one hole sizes. There is a back lip that can be pulled up if you would like, or it can lay flat. There are 2 spots where the water can drain back on either side of the faucet hole. There is also some grip along the mat so you can put things on top of it but there is still room for the water to drain under it. I'm really pleased with how it functions.
