Cyclists rejoice! Forget fighting with hook and loop straps to fasten your bags to your handlebars, it's a thing of the past.Although a little pricey, this adapter allows cyclists to quickly fasten or release a wide variety of bags and baskets to your handlebars. Both Basil and Rixen/Kaul sell a full range of them. Both producers' lines are available on Amazon, although you'll need a Prime account to benefit from the shipping cost; these are from Amazon's international warehouse. Mine arrived in 12 days.Installation is quick and easy, but beware: Only one set of bar clips are included, so be sure to order the correct size for your bar's diameter, either 22-26mm or 31.8mm.Without getting into the actual installation, I do advise strips of high friction tape at each clip mounting point an a little grease on the cable's cinch bolts.To operate, just slide the bag onto the adapter until it clicks. To release, press the red button.There's also an adapter plate available should you desire to modify your bag of choice. And who doesn't want a designer bag out front?
