The Flip
The flip at the top of the Flare redirects air back as clean, less turbulent air for rider and passenger. Don't just block or push the air, use the air for you, redirecting the wind to improve your ride.
The Hips
The Flare Windshield features "hips" at the sides that re-routes the wind away from you while adding downforce to the front-end of the motorcycle to improve stability vs. riding with the stock windshield.

A Few Notes!
One size doesn't fit all! Klock Werks developed a variety of heights for many models so riders find a fit that works for them! In most cases, Klock Werks recommends you choose a Flare size that you can look over comfortably. The "Black" color versions are opaque and cannot be seen through. This color option may not be suitable for shorter riders.

It looks good but for $250 you would think it would be a little more rigid, it just flutters from the wind on the highway. Replaced a windshield on my Cadillac for less $

The windshield mounts easy enough and all the holes match up. I have 14” high handlebars which are about 8” over stock. I’m not sure what my reach back measurement is. I bought the 12” KW windshield and the flare portion of the windshield hits my front brake reservoir on the right and the mirror mount on the left.So if you have mid to high rise handlebars on your chieftain like me, then I’d recommend you buy the 10” KW windshield.Side note: Anybody want a good deal on a 12” KW windshield for Indian Chieftain?

Perfect fit for my 2017 roadmaster, creates a nice ride experience deflecting air around riders better than the stock screen.Needs to be fully raised for my 5'9" wife sitting behind me to be hidden from buffeting at 80mph, but I enjoy riding solo at any height. My favorite is all the way down. The curve/flip edge kicks the air up enough for comfort at most speeds below 70mph (then I just raise it a bit for reduced sound).I recommend fully. Good material, design and functionality.

The factory windscreen was a little too short to be completely functional. The factory windscreen measures 10” from the center mounting screw to the top of the windscreen. At the highest setting it allow air to hit the top of my helmet ( I am 5’11” ) which gets tiresome after a long ride. I wanted to be able to raise it just a little more so that at it’s highest setting it would block the wind completely. This 12” windscreen works perfectly in that respect and allows me to lower it to its lowest setting and get a chest full of wind when it’s hot. The dark smoke tint was just a personal preference and looks great on the bike.
