This is the sturdiest portable stand I have ever used. The legs provide a solid base, and the construction doesn't have much flex. There are little quality-of-life features too, like a ridge on the "shelf" of the stand to stop music from sliding off.I will add a note of warning, though: if you haven't used a stand of this design before, DO NOT FORCE THE MECHANISM to unfold it; this will bend the stand arms, which makes it a pain to work with. I've been using stands with this design since I was a kid, and I've seen loads that people haven't put away properly and they suck. Don't break your £50 stand - use Google.

Easy to assemble. Holds music and also doubles as a stand for my iPad . Relatively light weight but sturdy

Much sturdier than the "heavy-duty" stand, also goes a couple of inches taller. It does not sway with my music in a heavy 3 ring binder as the cheaper stands do.Differently, the better choice for outdoor gigs, as the broader rubber feet don't sink in theground like the cheap wire ones do.

I recently travels overseas to sing in an Advent Choir tour. Our group consisted of people from all over the globe and many different brands/styles of music stands were present. There were some that were even more sturdy than this one but they had a one-piece music holder. The foldable music tray/holder of the K&M gives the right balance of sturdiness and portability...it fits in my luggage.

Awesome! Really well made, very heavy duty. It is big and bulky for a folding stand but it's worth it

This music stand was recommended to me by a fellow musician. Because I had a similar music stand that was cheap, flimsy and just plain lousy. In fact it was so bad,I got rid of it! So now, through this company,I ordered this one. What an improvement from that cheap piece of junk I got rid of! It's very sturdy,it holds well and it folds neatly. The ONLY issue I have with it is....that even when it's folded,it's still very long. That's why I gave it four stars instead of five stars.

I was replacing the same stand that I left at a gig. A very solid performer without the bulky Manhasset-type top. Will holda heavy book of charts and raises to a high extension.

I was very impressed with this stand. It will hold a 2-inch 3-ring binder full of music with no problem. Very stable and well constructed. Definitely recommend this stand, if you need a heavy duty stand. The only down side is it is a little heavy compared to other stands, but that is to be expected since it is constructed of heavy duty materials and much stronger than any other stand I have seen. I would recommend getting the carrying bag that goes with it.

I love the versatility of this stand. Short to as tall as you need. The table tilts to a broad range of angles. The legs open to a broad base to more narrow if space is an issue. The stand is also quite sturdy and reliable. And of course, I love how the whole stand folds down to a small, easy to transport package. I'll get years of daily use out of this one.

As a professional musician, I've been through a few folding stands. They are typically flimsy, unstable, and I can't get them tall enough to comfortably play from a standing position. Then I found this one. It's built like a tank. The adjustable legs can give it a wide stance so it's very stable. It's very solidly (over) built so it won't blow over in the first gentle wind that hits it (though any stand can be blown over if the wind is fierce enough). As for height, I can actually make this one too tall for standing use (though why would I do that? :) ). The desk is also adjustable, from straight up and down to tilted like an old big band stand. It gets used at least twice a week and I've had it about 4 months. It's been great. Expect the paint/powdercoat to wear off around the joints due to normal friction when opening it.It might be overkill, but it's great and I don't expect to have to buy another folding stand any time soon.
