They are made from durable polyester material containing a uniform weave. The PreCharger will stop small dirt particles with minimal restriction to the airflow of the filter.

The opening on this is only about 3" and it is not even water resistant it says so on the tag.

I figured this would work great as a pre-filter for and existing filter. Well it sure did work. Many sizes and styles available. Also, several colors available.
