This is a very well made drain assembly, but I do have 2 complaints.First major complaint is that this entire assembly needs to be glued together with PVC cement. That's fine if you are installing this while building the house or have torn down the ceiling below the tub, but I was updating a 30 year old bathroom. I only had access from the wall on the end of the tub and I had no wiggle room after the gluing, so everything needed to be perfectly aligned in 5 different dimensions. If anything was misaligned, I was going to have to cut it all out. The drain kit I removed was more like a sink drain with threaded compression nuts that allowed easy adjustment of things. Gluing offers no such flexibility.Second complaint is that the gasket for the overflow has tabs that hold it in place while you are installing it, but the gasket for the drain just loosely sits on the drain assembly with a surrounding wall to keep it in place that is all of a millimeter tall. The gasket can easily move while trying to install it and end up on top of that retaining wall , especially since they want you to use silicone on the gasket as well which can get messy, and for my application I had to apply the silicone through the tub drain while pushing the drain down. I would recommend putting a light coat of silicone under the gasket and letting it dry over night, so the gasket won't shift around during install.Overall I definitely recommend this drain assembly, but there are a few items to be aware of.

Après avoir vu les commentaires sur des drains et trop-pleins noirs de bas de gamme, j'ai décidé d'opter pour pour ce système qui avait de bons commentaires. Je ne peux pas dire que je suis déçu, le drain fonctionne bien même s'il est vrai que vous devez vraiment bien calculer vos longeurs - la vis pour assembler le drain est courte. De même le tuyau flexibile est arrivé courbé (doit être coupé d'un grand tuyau enroulé) et il est flexible au minimum. J'ai fini par ne pas l'utiliser et mettre un tuyau de PVC rigide. Plus facile à installer (au moins le trop-pleins arrivent à 90 par rapport au bain). Bref, pas certain que ce soit la panacée en terme de bain, on verra dans le temps l'avantage de pouvoir changer les pièces de décoration sans changer tout le sytème de drain (ce qui est le principal avantage). Mais je ne serais pas prêt à dire que c'est un mauvais achat non plus.

I bought a new soaking tub and found it really difficult to find a drain that would be tall enough to work with it. I also really like that this drain has the option to change the facing pieces without having to have a major production.

Great bath drain set. All the things you need, without the finished parts. This was my best option as the bathroom fixture finish was not decided at the time I installed this drain set with the tub. I love the flexible PVC pipe included in this set. It makes it a lot easier to install it. There's not much give/flex, but the very small bit helps a lot when you go to seal and tighten to the tub. High quality components you would expect from Kohler, I have no regrets using this set and imagine it will provide years of service.

Works well and well made. Used for a complete bathroom remodel and new Kohler Expanse Tub. I like the fact the the cable is outside, preventing an obstruction for hair and dirt to collect on. The cable works very well with the PrueFlo Trim Kits with a push button drain and stopper. Assembly of everything was a bit challenging, with the Trim Kit, understanding it all. It took multiple times of watching helpful videos on Kohler's website. Time will tell how this system lasts over time.

I purchased this drain assembly and trim for my Cheviot 2187 cast iron tub. Kohler could not have made it any easier to install. They even include a schedule 40 PVC pipe that bends a little to assist in fitting to the tub overflow. The trim is stunning and the controls, either lever or push button, work very well. If you want great function and stunning beauty, buy this!

WARNING: Does not work with Duravit tubs, stupid duravit does not offer brushed nickel and I really wanted to use this kit instead of the crappy duravit one chome.

This is it. Look no further. Tried them all..This is the best! All that Home Depot or Lowe's garbage is nothing compared to this! I am very meticulous and precision is everything to me! This thing is made out of really good material. It took me literally not even 30 minutes to install it!
