My building has rear-discharge toilets so our choices were limited. Our contractor urged us to select this one. I was concerned because, even with power-assisted flushing, one gallon doesn’t seem like a lot of water, especially since our old rear-discharge toilets often required two or even three flushes. No problem. No second flushes are necessary, unless the toilet paper lands on the side of the toilet bowl rather than in the water.I was also concerned because this is a much more complicated mechanism than non-power-assisted toilets. In more than two years since we had them, one of our two toilets stopped working once. My husband called Kohler, and tech support walked him through the fix in less than five minutes.The only downside is that the flush is loud, but we adjusted very quickly.
