The Kohler shower system in our bathroom has been discontinued. I had to replace the handheld shower head hose. I had a feeling there might be a problem. Sure enough, where the showerhead attaches to the hose and sits in the showerhead holder, cannot be used with a common shower hose. Amazon did offer a Kohler replacement. Being that we are possibly replacing the system in the future, I really didn’t want to spend the money for the actual Kohler replacement. Didn’t really have an option. Had to buy it. It fit, looks fine. My only real issue is the fact that it’s vinyl. It was curled up so tight in the box that it wouldn’t uncurl for at least a month. After running hot water through it during showers, it gradually relaxed. Still not very flexible, better than it was when we first purchased it.

This was a disappointing purchase, and I am returning it. My intent was to replace a contractor furnished shower hose that had developed a separation/kink in the outer metal spiral hose wrapping. The replacement purchased was not the same, although the product images and description led me to believe otherwise. This new one is covered in a cheap plastic transparent hose. It is not flexible like the old one, which had a very nice drape to it. Instead, this new one remains tightly wound like a cheap garden hose. Photos show the new and old hoses compared. Buyer beware.

Too rigid. Does not hang freely. Otherwise, works well and length is great.

The hose looks black not oil brushed bronze. But it will work.

We purchased a Kohler Awaken shower wand, hose and cradle. The shower wand and cradle are decent, but the hose, is cheap plastic. And, because of the hose, the shower wand fits sloppy inside the cradle (the shower wand screws into the hose, and the hose fits into the cradle). We ended up using a Waterpik hose, which is flexible, looks better, is real metal, and fits into the Kohler cradle better. I'm surprised Kohler puts their name on this.

Does the job. Would order the longer length if I would have checked for that option. I have the old style metal kind and it feels like a substantial well made product. This is lightweight and plastic. It has a permanant curl and doesn't lay flat. It's installed in a rental property so I'm fine with it but would prefer a nicer one if it were my own home. The price is right, install is simple and it works.
