Kootek Charcuterie Board with Locking Lid is a decent board.The base is a nice solid wood board with spaces for different meats, cheeses, etc. The board is not too heavy, so it is fairly lightweight and easy to carry. The base is study and will most likely last for some time if hand washed and dried immediately.The wood must be treated to protect it as it comes untreated. Choose your favorite food safe method.The lid is a hard lightweight plastic that feels as though it is ready to crack at any second. It will not survive a good pop from anything. Thus, this is not a lid I would use to transport the board from one place to another. Set it up when you arrive, and the lid is great to keep the board items covered. I would not wash it in the dish washer as I doubt it would not warp – we handwashed it only.The handles are also a cheaper plastic. I did not carry the board by the handles out of fear of the handles breaking off. We did do a test lift, and the handles survived, but I still worry that carrying by the handle is not a good idea.The latches are not as easy as I would like to latch and since they are also made from cheap plastic, they will most likely not last long if they are used much.The board looks adorable and is great to have on a table at a party. It also makes a great way to store a board of snacks to have in the frig for family to grab a few tidbits and go. It came with easy-to-follow instructions.Overall, I like the board itself but have doubts and am not a fan of the cheaply made lid. It is not a good value at $40 (stated regular price) but is a good value at $22.79.

Size of the board is really nice. The lid sits up higher which is great to not crush any items that might be taller. Very easy to clean. I spray with dawn cleaner, let sit for a few minutes, scrub, rinse in warm water and let air dry. I have found storing with the lid closed helps keep the board cleaner. Carrying is very easy to do and the handle has a good thickness for easy holding.

I have waited to write this review till I had a chance to use this item a couple of times. I received it a little before Easter and used it then and again for Mother's Day get togethers. To say I am in love with this product is an understatement. I have a very large family and growing bigger. This allowed for such a time saver, when getting family dinners on. I like to set out things to nibble on while we get dinner underway and on the table. This is great to keep those not working in the kitchen out. I was able to prepare the tray ahead of the get together because of the lid. I didn't just have things prepped to go on a nice tray, it was already done. The lid allowed for items not to become dried out in the refrigerator. Had I been taking food anywhere, it would have been a great item as well with the lid and handle. The quality of the board is great. I love the finish. The plastic lid is of good quality. It washed up easily and was easy to store. The capacity of the board is great. I have a huge family and every thing is sat out for an army. I think the product is priced well and even under priced to be honest.

This charcuterie board is a great size for a decent spread and is lightweight enough to carry around yet sturdy. I LOVE the snap on lod woth the carrying handle, nice touch! Makes it super easy to prepare tray the night before and out them out without worrying about flys or bugs getting to an open tray. Easy to clean but I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher as it's not finished wood and would probably warp but I hand wash it. Great size and versatility for a great price.

For $22.79, the Kootek Charcuterie Board is worth the price. The bamboo tray has a solid feel, a little rough to the touch but nothing that gets in the way. I’ve used boards like this on boats and balconies - turn it around and you have an emergency cutting board. It’s got five smart compartments, enough to lay out a decent spread, and once you oil the wood, it looks right at home on a proper table. You'll need mineral oil or beeswax, and don’t skip that step - the board ships dry and unfinished, which I actually preferred, because I like to use my own foodsafe beeswax and oil to season these things.The plastic top lid is clearly the budget part of the package; but it does lock securely and easily, and the handles are practical for travel or shifting food outside, keeps the food safe, but the lid just doesn’t quite match the quality of the board itself. Still, the lid carries well, and the board cleans easily after oiling. For casual use or small gatherings, it’s more than up to the task.

It’s a great concept, and my mom loved it so much that she ordered one for herself, as she’s got the “save everything” mentality, so would always store leftover appetizers in plastic baggies. Very convenient for easy storage in the fridge after and saves having to stress over last minute prep for gatherings to keep things fresh by allowing you to create a spread of appetizers beforehand and store in fridge until needed. It locks well. The compartments are a bit shallower than anticipated, so you have to be a careful about over-filling. But overall, it’s a time-saver in the kitchen for both food prep for small gatherings and storing the leftovers away instead of individually bagging or storing each thing in separate Tupperwares, as well as a space-saver overall, so this is definitely something I’d buy again, especially with deeper compartments, although I’m sure you could place small bowls in the various compartments to allow for even better function/quantity.
