The Oasis Bell bottle is a very popular favorite. The rigid bottle construction retains water well (the bottle is made of breakage resistant crystal styrene.) The combination of the Bell Bottle’s plastic bottle and cap with the powder-coating of the guard allows for color-coordinated cages and accessories. The drinking tube size on this 8 ounce Bell bottle is correct for hamsters, gerbils, mice, fancy rats, sugar gliders and pygmy hedgehogs.

It leaks. The search for an animal water bottle that does not leak continues.

I bought 2 of these because my kids hamsters kept chewing through their water bottles. We have had them for a few months now and the hamsters have not been able to chew through them. They do not leak and work great.

So far these are the best water bottles I have ever used for my small pets, they do not leak. I have 2 guinea pigs and had to buy 3 of these since they drink so much water, i fill them up about every 3-4 days. I think these are mor for hamsters, gerbils and rats because if the size and ball on the bottle, but my guinea pigs do just fine with them.

Great water bottle it has a little duck to tell the level of water in bottle. I know just about all bottles will leak so you will have to keep an eye on it. If you tap a few times it should stop.

I have owned these bottles for four years or more and used them with rats, hamsters, degu, Spiney rats(African Soft Furred Rats), and most recently Guinnea Pigs. They do not work well for the pigs because these animals like a lot of water to come out all at once, and these waterers are great for no drip, no waste. This makes the pig throw the bottle around making a racket. The rest of the animals have had no trouble getting water out if them. These also do not leak because they are made out of a hard, inflexible plastic. This can be great for chewing animals such as rats because if they climb on it, and try to bite the top, they can not sink they teeth in, and evidence of gnawing will be seen first. The broken bottles I have seen in images shown here is really shocking. The only time I have ever had one break was when it was full, and I dropped it on a cement floor. It shattered as you see in the pictures. If it falls with the bell side down, it will explode like glass. If it falls with the waterspout end down, the neck or entire bottom will crack off. These are fragile like glass because of the type of plastic that is used. Also, because of thus inflexible plastic of the bottle being different in nature from the more pliable bottom piece, if you attempt to screw the bottom on tightly(there is no need, there is a gasket and snug is best), the neck will snap right off. Knowing your product helps with longevity of a product. Glass bottles are great, except they are prone to leaking, cannot be dropped, and are exponentially heavier than plastic. I use glass with my pigs because they cannot be thrown around as easily, especially 32 ounce bottles, and will leak a little which makes more frequent bedding changes, but the animal is much happier.Don't hesitate to use these for mice, hamsters, rats, hamsters (4 ounce size is great for dwarfs), or degu.

I can't find these in the pet stores anymore, so I found them here. They are the best made water bottle you can buy. They are chew proof, they don't fall down, and they are easy to hook to the side of an aquarium which I prefer to use. Every other water bottle made has left me very frustrated and disappointed. These last a very long time and are worth every penny you pay for them. The larger one here works well on a 20 tall tank, but is too long for a smaller tank. Buy the smaller size water bottle for a 10 gallon or 20 long tank. .

Arrived on time and well packaged. I got two of these. One of them leaks and the other one doesn't. So, I guess it's 50/50. I put a red brick under it to collect the droplets. The waterbottle stays on the cage very well and I like the colors (blue/white).

I have been looking for a water bottle at online pet stores and the local brick and mortar stores but they only had the 4oz available. I'm getting 2 hamsters so I wanted a larger bottle.Came here and found the 8oz.The bottle and guard set comes in different colors which the seller/store chooses for you. I think they're red, green and blue. The 8oz bottle is break resistant. Top of bottle is rounded to discourage chewing. The metal hold guard also protects fromchewing damage. There is a loop attached to hold guard to keep bottle from falling over. There is an adjustable thin metal strap on back of guard to hang over the edges of aquarium or wire cage. There is also a self adhesive 2-part hook and loop tape which you apply to the back of the guard onto aquarium glass or the solid plastic side of pet's home. This keeps your pet from swinging the guard and bottle.Make sure you rinse bottle and bottle tube with warm water before using. When I first filled the bottle I held it up to see if it would leak before putting it in my hamster's aquarium. At first it did so I played around with the ball bearing in the end of the drink tube, pushed it in a few times before it stopped leaking. Don't freak out about this. It will eventually stop leaking but make sure it does before putting it in your pet's home. When you need to remove the bottle to refill or clean just flip up the loop attached to guard and pull the bottle forward and out.Over all I'm happy with this product and would recommend.
