It is a bit loud on high speed but does well enough on low or medium for most jobs.

Overall it's a nice machine. Definitely works well as a few extractor. Air flow is quite good. Filtration is also very good. Assembly was difficult in getting the first piece of the plastic hose into the machine body. Additionally testing with my phone found the machine was at about 70 to 80 decibels compared to the 50 decibels claimed in the listing. It's not that loud, but it's not 50 decibels.

So, regarding the title, this thing was significantly larger than I thought it would be from the pictures. I should have read the flavor text a bit closer. That being said, it does fit where I was planning to put it for use with both my soldering setup and my 3d printer so I can use with either application. It seems to be build well, and should last a good while. I don't know how long the filters it came with will last, but I figure worst case I can buy larger filters and cut down to size. Removal of the internal filter and support is pretty easy - the whole top of the unit comes off to allow easy access, and replacing the filter is straight forward. It does make some noise when in use, but with my printer it isn't really noticeable, since there is already a fair amount of noise being made. More noticeable with the silence of the soldering station, but still not bad - I'm fairly impressed with how well it seems to work without making a huge amount of noise, especially considering the size.Overall, this seems like a good unit. It works well for my use cases and I expect it to last a long time, so this seems like a worthy investment if you need this type of thing for long-term safety.

This solder fume extractor is a solid choice for anyone working with soldering, laser cutting, engraving, or 3D printing in small spaces. The VortexForce motor pulls smoke and odors away efficiently without being too loud or bulky. The stepless adjustment knob is a nice touch, letting you dial in just the right suction power for the job. It’s compact and easy to set up on your workbench, making your workspace healthier without hassle. A budget-friendly solution that really helps reduce fumes and keep the air cleaner during projects.

This is a decent smoke absorber. The build quality is very good. The unit is solid and heavy. I have only used this once so far for soldering and it does suck the smoke. It is easy to maneuver the suction. The noise is ok, but I do not notice it because when I am working on this stuff it does not bother me. It is not too big that it takes up my regular sized desk. It functions as it should when used with soldering and most likely with burning or engraving. It is kind of expensive though.
