Works great on a 1999 Yamaha Road Star. Just don’t over tighten the top screws. Can’t torque to speck.

Have a 2014 Honda CB1100. I live in Hawaii (lots of salt air and corrosion) so purchased SS bolts and washers from Home Depot to attache them. The holes in the steering head had to be drilled out to accept the 1/2" bolts required to attache risers. Because of heat produced by the 1/2" drill bit to drill out the steering head I had to go slow and use ice to cool the hole. If you don't keep hole cool while drilling the heat will cause the rubber bushing to melt. Bad outcome if you allow that to happen. Krator does not make a 7/8" handle bar hole, they only come in 1". Had to use spacer material to get the risers to tighten to my 7/8" bars. Cables had to be rerouted but not replaced. Be prepared to bleed hydraulic lines because of need to unhook them to allow rerouting. Unlike other reviews saying that the chrome job and finish was poor, my set arrived in perfect shape and no chrome imperfections were seen. Took a lot of patients and thought to get these installed. Because they are reasonably priced and do the job I gave 4 stars. However level of difficulty and lack of a 7/8" handle bar option prevented me giving this product a 5 stars rating,

These risers work fine on my Road Star, did not have to extend the cables. I would recommend this part. Thank you

I installed these on my 2002 V-Star 1100 Silverado. Installation was pretty simple; I removed the windshield for easier access, and the most difficult part was removing the metal cable support that the factory installed under the triple tree. I wound up cutting it with a hacksaw and bending it as needed to get it out, and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I used the recommended size bolts in 2 1/2 inch length with a lock washer on each, and they were perfect. I did not have to change or re-route the stock lines or cables; the clutch cable is at max when turned full lock, but it doesn't affect the operation. If the risers were any taller longer cables would be needed. After my initial ride, I needed to re-tighten the clamps, as my bars did move slightly, but I've since ridden over 500 miles on some pretty rough roads without a hint of movement. The change in arm position has made a world of difference; between my new Ultimate seat and these risers, my bike feels like a totally different machine, and I can ride all day in comfort! The finish on the risers is excellent, no bubbling or peeling of the chrome as I saw on some reviews, and they look great on the bike (how couldn't they - it's more chrome!). When I ordered them, I made sure I was getting them direct from KapscoMoto; there were other options but they came from China and shipping was estimated at three weeks. Mine arrived in about a week with standard shipping. I would definitely recommend them over the more pricey ones from the big name manufactures; they serve the same purpose, look great, and you're not paying for the name!

I received the risers 2 days ago and installed them yesterday! Wow, did it in a hot garage, taken longer then 20 min. being that I had to have a few beers! LOL But seriously, the risers came on time and looked good. No marring or sharp edges as in one comment. The chrome was a quality finish! There was no bolting included and had to go to Lowes to get 1/2"x21/2" s.s bolts SAE threads. The cables are just long enough requiring no change out. The only draw back is when you turn the wheel all the way they hit the gas tank speedometer, loosing I would say 5 to 8 degrees of turn radius. For the price it was a good purchase and I would recommend these to friends and family.

Was not an exact fit. The mounting Holes in the triple tree had to be drilled out to accept the larger bolts for the risers. The chrome had some scratches and one area had a small bubble. When wheel Is turned to full right or left the risers come into contact with speedo housing on the gas tank but not enough to be a major concern. All that considered they're not bad for the price.

Installed these on my wife's Yamaha V Star 950. They installed easy enough. Just barely enough clearance for the risers to not hit the chrome on the gas tank. The pull back does give you a little less turning radius, but for most riding you would not notice. I did not have to reroute the control cables, but if you install anything longer than the 3 1/2" risers you will probably have to do the reroute. For the V Star 950 application, get 2 1/2" X 1/2" X 13 (coarse thread) grade 8 flange bolts. They're slightly smaller than the stock riser bolts, but not enough to make a difference when tightened down. I was nervous about being able to install these, because of the uncertainty of the bolts. The seller answered all my questions regarding dimensions, etc.I highly recommend these risers - especially for the price.

The risers came packaged in a small box with adequate protection. These were actually 5 inches in total length. They did give 3.5 inches in height, but also 1.5 inches pullback, which is nice because it contributes to a laid-back feel of the handlebars. They fit 1-inch width handlebars pretty well, and hold them snugly when tightened with the included 5mm allen head screws. They looked good, with chrome to match my cruiser. The ONLY gripe I have is that these do not come with included bolts. BUT, they say that in the description, and actually were nice enough to tell you what bolt you need. Still, it would've been nice if they were included. By the way, I found that a bolt length of 2 1/2 with a 1/2 inch crush washer to be great for this particular product. I wish I had a picture to show what I mean, but maybe I'll include that later. Unfortunately for me, the handlebars that I had combined with these risers had an unexpected effect. The wires didn't reach :( So, I ordered a drag bar to accommodate and sent back the mini-apes. Lesson learned: measure all that stuff (especially the wiring) beforehand. Totally not anyone's fault but my own. All-in-all, this was a good product that anyone looking for inexpensive risers should consider.
