The beads do not cover the rope.If I wanted to make it shorter, I could remove the handle and any beads that covered the rope. But I ordered this size for a reason.

This was a purchase due to a comment from my 8 year old that she couldn't jump rope that it was impossible. She is now running all over while jumping rope. She can indeed jump rope. Very durable and enough room for tying two ropes together if so desired. Hope this helps.

Usé el producto menos de 15 min y se rompió uno de los mangos, no lo recomiendo en absoluto.

Love the colour, the weight of it and the feel of the handles in my hands, and the price was right. Definitely pleased with my new rope!

The perfect length and weight for jump roping-kiddos! While I didn’t spend the most money on this jump rope, I do believe it will be around for a good bit. With the quality of the beads, handles and the rope itself, it should hold up to the abuse of my jump-ropers for at least a few months. The handles are long and thin, which I was unsure of at first, but they fit comfortably in my 9 and 6 year olds’ hands. It’s light enough that they can swing it comfortably, yet heavy enough that it doesn’t get caught up in their hair when swinging over their heads.

My daughter loves this. The plastic gets scratched up quickly on the first day, and the loops don't go all the way up to the handles (you see rope where there could/should be about 4-6 more plastic cylinders). Works as intended and worth the low price tag.

I got this for my students in the fall (6 months ago) and it's gotten a ton of use. Admittedly, one of the handles came off a couple months ago, but that's bound to happen when it gets daily use by 24+ elementary-aged kids. They still use it, even with the missing handle, and I should probably buy a few more at some point. The weight of it is nice - there are so many cheap jump ropes out there that are really not helpful when kids are first learning. It goes outside with them at recess and is used in the hallway to help memorize math facts or give a little break when a child feels frustrated. Works like a charm!

Pros: Beautiful colors. The heavy beads have the weight needed to get the rope swinging well for kids.Cons: These jumpropes do get beat up after a while. The handles eventually broke and fell apart, but our daughter (age 6) uses it all the time and is very rough with it. She is a jump roping maniac and also likes to drag it around and swing it over her head etc. She has used it almost every day for a year now, and we are just getting ready to get a new one. It would be nicer if it had more sturdy handles, but similar ropes that I have seen with nicer handles do not have the cute rainbow colors (which she loved). So I don't mind just buying this rope again. It isn't very expensive anyway.

Our son, 9 years old, signed up to "Jump Rope for Heart". After registering online to be his first pledge, we realized that he doesn't actually know how to jump rope (@ least not very well).Bought this & it's perfect! The weight, the length, the bright & cheery colors, all of it! it is short enough for his 6 year old sister to use it & long enough for me (I am 5'10").We only just got it today, will have to update this review once we've had it a while. I am interested to see how it holds up over time.

Never thought I would have an opinion about jump ropes until I saw my 8 yr old struggle (at 7 yrs old) with a cheap, light jump rope. I knew I needed something with weight and recalled these types of jump ropes in school, from my youth. The actual rope is PERFECT. Adds weight and actually makes it easier for a young person to learn to jump rope. Good exercise for indoors - we are in Chicago so the cold (combined with an urban/suburban environment) can limit our activities in winter. Highly recommend this product. Also great for adults who want to get in shape -- I have used her jump rope without her knowledge and it really is a good one - this size worked for her and for me (4 1/2 feet and 5 feet 9).

There was a lot of slack in the rope between the links when I first got this item. It is also not as heavy as the ones I used when I was a kid first learning to jump rope. I was able to pull the slack rope and knot it so that it was usable but it is much shorter. I don't mind that it's shorter since I got it for my daughter and not sure if it's still 7 feet even though it has been made to be shorter since I haven't measured it. I just don't feel the quality of these are very good and would prefer to find some that are made better with heavier and better quality links. I think for a kid just starting out learning to jump rope, these might suffice, especially since the can be easy to adjust by pulling the rope and knotting it where you want the length to be. Overall, I think the price was a little more than these are worth so that is the reason for the lower rating.
