Utilissimo se si vuole avere la giusta infusione di tisane, tè, ecc. Mentre si sbrigano altre faccende si regola il timer, quando il tempo è finito si alza automaticamente il becco e la bustina si solleva dalla tazza.

Got this for my daughter and was so cute I got another one for me. It works like a charm and is a fun item to use when making the perfect cup of tea.

The tea timer is adorable but that is all, I missed my window of return so I guess I'm out the money. It worked once or twice but quit working afterwards unfortunately.

If you love tea (or know someone who does) and/or you have kids (or know someone who does) then this is a great item. Kids love to watch the penguin's beak go up when the timer goes off. You pick the time needed for the specific tea to brew or steep. And it's a good timer by itself. I use it all the time instead of my regular timer. Caution - make sure you use it with a mug that has a lip lower than the base of the beak. I pushed it down when I used a too high mug and I broke it. But I got another one because it's such a fun product.

Great fun gift for my partner, I hate the faf of making tea, this does the whole job. vary the time required for steeping different teas, this does all the work sounding a bell and lifting the bag. Obviously the tea bag must come with a string Add to the fact my partner loves penguins and this has proved a popular Christmas gift

Out of the box, the beak didn't not lift the teabag up when the brewing was done. We were able to fix it by widening the slot it moves in. It still does not go all the way up, but it works. Is cute and it's nice to have the timer (quite loud BTW.) Would not recommend for a gift because of the fix needed (on ours at least.) Not sure it's worth the counter space.

Love this guy! I had one a decade ago that stopped working, and was happy to find one again. But..it only works if you use a single-stringed tea bag. So many teas are bagless, and I usually use two bags in a big mug. Don’t give the Penguin too much to lift, or he won’t be up to the task. That’s how I broke my first guy. I also use him as a kitchen timer. It’s much more pleasant than the insistent digital alarm on the stove.I only wish it were sturdy enough to make me a double cup. This would be a fun gift for a tea lover whom you know uses stringed bag tea.

I got this for my wife, who likes tea, but usually gets pulled away by the kids as soon as the tea bag hits the water. By the time she returns to it, the tea is over-steeped. So this is a handy solution. Two small gripes/suggestions:1) The bell. Not excessively loud, but kind of a jarring noise just to let you know that your tea is ready. My kids disliked it, so I ended up disassembling the penguin and performing a bell-otomy (the patient survived). I wish the bell were somehow optional.2) The penguin design is cute, and I like it, but I can see where it's not for everyone. I would like to see a purely functional version that's not so cutesy. I'm sure the stainless-steel, Sub-Zero-fridge crowd would agree.Overall, I recommend it.

UPDATE:WOW! Pengu has been with us for over 15 years now and survived two moves and several knocks off the counter. (His little hat now has a notch in it and traps dust like crazy. )He still works, albeit with a bit of a limp so to speak, and a nice side result is now he doesn't yell as loud. But please, I originally paid less than $20 for him! So unless this has suddenly turned into a collectors item don't shell out more than that!!2011:Ok, yes, for a timer it is expensive and a little cheesy but dammit it's adorable! I got it for a few reasons actually, after looking over the net for a 'shaped' timer of some sort specifically for my tea.1) On the actual timer itself all the lines are BIG and CLEARLY marked- this helps as in the morning I don't care to wear my glasses. And I want my tea.2) The numbers are marked all the way down to 2 minutes, and as I drink a lot of green tea this part of the little guy gets used a lot.3) As does that beak! I really like the fact that it's actually fairly high so my taller cups have no problem with getting the tea bags lifted OUT of them.4) The bell is LOUD- scares my cats every time when it goes off- and well, it's amusing to see them running from a penguin.5) ... we call him Pengu and he is our counter penguin. If you can afford such a kitzy little item get it- he's also fairly durable. I've dropped it at least twice now and haven't even dented the felt hat.
