This utensil holder helps keep the utensils not tangled up as each utensil has a hole/place. I just wish there was a few hols slightly larger that could fit scalloped tongs, or my stainless steel skimmer that has a wide handle base.

I like this thing--it's capacity and basic design, except for 1 thing. As others noted the top and middle platforms spin independently of each other. The top is the guide for the utensil and the middle is where the weight of the utensil is supported. Often if you turn the carousel using the top or the utensils, the utensil handles shift, twist and start falling out of position. If I remember to turn it using the middle platform, everything usually stays together.

I like that it had plenty of holes for the utensils..but dont like that sometimes the utensils slide out from the bottom

We fixed this problem by obtaining a wooden dowel (3/4" from Home Depot- $1) and inserting two pieces on opposite sides through the upper small holes and resting on the indent on the lower plate (disc). Now the disks spin together and the utensils are kept separate.I love the concept. I can now find favorites that were hidden (using the standard countertop cup holder). Kuhn Rikon: please just glue those pieces together, and you've got a five star product!
