UPDATE 11/16: Took off a star because of the repeated, non sensical exchange with this vendor. Every time I feel like I've come to a calmer place after this failed purchase, I get another message. I've had several exchanges with this company. I missed the deadline to return because I was naive enough to think that maybe it just needs to be broken in or something. It's not my job to help them better understand how their charger needs to be designed to prevent batteries from getting stuck inside the unit, but that's what they have asked me to help them with. No offer to refund of course. They have a research and development team for feedback, not customers who paid a lot for a unit so badly designed that it doesn't accommodate for any slight enlargements when a battery heats up while being charged. I was so angry when it cracked that it went straight into the garbage. This unit is dangerous and could have damaged some very expensive batteries. I'm probably lucky I didn't get electrocuted.Original Post:Ordered a replacement after losing mine. Sadly, the batteries just don't want to come out with normal pressure in the conventional way. We literally had to hit the battery or charger against the counter to loosen the connection. I think it gets worse as the battery is charging and heats up a bit.

The first battery I received did not have a charge nor would it take a charge. Filed with Amazon and they sent me one the next day. The second I received worked like a charge. It seems to last longer than the original Ryobi battery. Very happy!
