I have used head colors for almost 20 yrs and never had issues. My 2 yr old golden has chewed through countless collars in the past yr so I tried this one and love it! Easy to get on, thick and durable and he cannot get to the collar. I use it with a lupine collars which are harder to chew through and guaranteed if they are chewed so it works great. And he does not mind this one compared to other brands.

Quick and easy to put on. I had to exchange Medium for Large for my medium sized dog, but although on it's smallest setting, it is OK for my boy.

Very good product. I liked it so much I bought one for my other dog. Very easy to put on, adjust and remove. Fits very well and much easier to put on your dog than a halti.

These head harnesses are so cute and functional because the reflective properties. It's a shame because I love all things Kurgo for my pups. We have a border collie blue heeler mix that is constantly pulling on the leash. So this was a great idea but the harness was super easy to take off. She is smart but we couldn't get it to stay on. The middle ring is made of cheap rubber that broke on our first walk. Returned this item. Was very disappointed.

Absolutely loved it. Looks nice and is a great training tool. Four stars because after about a month of use the rubber piece it feeds through broke and it is unusable now. But I will be buying a new one because we liked it so much, just have to be more gentle when adjusting the strap.

This collar works well for my dog to get him to stop pulling. He's an 90 lb boxer mastiff and with this collar, I can easily lead him with the leash. 3 star rating because the rubber joint that is supposed to hold the straps and clip loop in place broke within the first week of use. It's a very thin rubber. Now the leash is still usable, but the clip loop is easily misplaced as it can just fall off of the straps when not in use. Also, when you use this collar properly (loose enough for your dog to be able to open it's mouth and pant when needed) it may be a good idea to clip your leash to your dog's main collar as well, because it is easy for the dog to slip out of the kurgo collar. Overall, i would recommend this product for anybody with a dog that likes to pull during walks, but i wish the build quality were better.

We have a blue heeler/border collie mix we adopted a few months ago. She's 2.5 years old and has a problem with pulling, lunging, and being a little over-protective (she will growl and nip at strangers who come very close). She doesn't actually bite PEOPLE, but she loves to grab baggy or flowing clothes. She'll snag basketball shorts, long scarves, big dresses, etc. Obviously unacceptable, and it makes people fear her. In addition to lots of training, we decided we needed a harness or a muzzle. We tried a cheaper head halter, but she was able to get it off in SECONDS. Just one swipe of the paw and it was off of her nose. This one really works! She has got it off just once, and the design is such that if your dog slides off the nose band, the neck band stays put just like a normal collar. The dog cannot get completely loose. Our dog does not like the harness, so be prepared for an adjustment period. She still tries to rub it off, and the first few days we used it, she acted very dejected on her walks, keeping her head down and pressing her nose against our legs to try to get the nose band off. But we stuck with it, and now she's acclimating. We used treats to reward her for putting her head in the halter, and we have her wear it when she eats. Now there is almost ZERO pulling, and she walks by our sides instead of darting out in front. She cannot pull, she cannot lunge, and we're able to direct her head away from other people without straining our arms and getting leash burn on our hands (this little dog is strong). This is a great product.

My Rottweiler has a bad pulling habit. Chokes on collars, pulls me down the street in a harness. I tried a head collar from Petsmart but he lunged hard enough to snap the latch in half within 3 days. I needed something heavy duty that he wasn't going to break. When I found this I couldn't find many reviews or much info on it. I figured if it didn't work I could return it. The pictures on the site don't show how to tighten it but it's pretty straight forward. Slip it over the nose and it criss crosses theough a heavy rubber ring underneath. Then clip it around the neck and tighten as much as you need there. My Rottie is only a year old so he has a lot of growing to do. I'm pretty sure this head collar will grow well enough with him. Plenty of room to let out as he gets bigger. There's no padding but the frabric is soft enough without compromising the toughness so be comfortable. Tempest is in training as a service dog and prefers the head collar himself. He runs from regular collars and harnesses but when I pull out his "blue nose" (he'll even fetch it if I say "find blue nose") he runs right to me and will slip his nose through himself. He won't even jump or move around when putting it on which is amazing because he's our bull in the china shop, as it were. I think if a dog likes it that much then it's definitely worth a shot. He's the most well behaved leash walker in his class now. :D An added plus is that it's super stylish so my boy can strut his stuff and make mommy look good ;) lol!Edit: Jan 8, 2018- I have used this nearly every day with my Rottie. He still loves it. It’s a little patchy and worn but still holding together very well. It was big enough to allow him to grow with it. Best part, I can attach a 2 ft leash to this and have my 3 yr old walk him. Just as a reminder, this is not a magic fix all for every dog. This did not work at all for my Golden Retriver. He didn’t like it and nearly hurt himself trying to get it off so my Golden got a front harness instead. They still need training to know what to do in this type of collar. But once trained, it works wonderfully. I will definitely be buying another one when my original is finally worn too much.
