商品説明では分かり辛いですが、対応している戸当たりのサイズは幅31mm以下、高さ11mm以下ですそれより大きい場合は別売り受注生産のスペーサーが必要だと説明書に書かれていますが、ホームセンターで適当な板を買って自作しました幅31mmは調整幅ギリギリの話であり、本体側のスペーサーを作る場合は幅Ｔ−31よりも数mm厚くしましようまた、高さ11mmも調整幅ギリギリであり、高さH−11mmの受け側スペーサーの厚みプラス数mm分だけ、本体取り付け位置を型紙より下げる必要があります受け側を型紙どおりの位置に付けても調整幅の範囲ではうまく動作せず、型紙の指示よりも蝶番側に穴を開け直す必要がありました無駄な穴を開けることになりましたが、取り付け終われば隠れるのでまあいいでしょう

If I didn't have common sense, I'd burn this thing. That's how bad the instructions are. But if you have a mechanical sense, you should be able to figure it out. The template on it also isn't accurate but it could be well due to door design, so just be mindful on that.The good is that it works as advertised, however the tension must be adjusted to max. I wish it has just a little more strength on the tension because for our door, at maximum tension it just barely, makes the cut on closing the door.Update on the tension: If you're using this for indoors, it'll work as advertised unless it's a heavy door such as garage entry door, tension has to be at Max. BUT, for home exit door, because of your homes interior air pressure combined with exterior, the tension just isn't enough, the door won't fully close. I made multiple adjustments, tightened the tension beyond it's maximum setting, door doesn't slam but won't fully close, unless there's just a slight extra push of wind.Quality on it is ok, but could be a little stronger which leaves durability questionable.There's also improper screws, I had to use 2 of my own wood screws to attach the channel router groove thing up top. Update: first one had improper screws, second one delivered had everything proper.Regardless, once the impossible was accomplished, I am pleased so far with the fact that the doors no longer slam. Garage door closes just fine, home exit door just needs a slight extra push.

Despite the bad 1-star reviews, I decided to try this device to stop my internal garage door from slamming and shaking the walls. Because my door closes so strongly, I thought I might not have the same problems as the 1-star reviews. Wrong. The device slows down my door to a stop then tries to shut it. Many times, the door won't actually latch.The device has great engineering to allow it to be adjusted in three dimensions. It's compact. But it cannot be adjusted to sufficiently reduce the damping force to just what I needed. It always stops the door before trying to close it. The closing force is insufficient to pull the door closed every time. I adjusted the set screw and position of the parts per the instructions.I'm giving it 2-stars because it is a really cool engineered device in many ways... but is a complete waste of money for me.
