Only 4 stars instead of 5 because the install is a PITA! Normal Kuryakyn (I’ve always thought that was a bad brand name, “ General chrome bike parts” has a better ring, anyhow …) are much better engineered. Luckily I have a ton of tools, a beer fridge in the garage, and patient after working all day. If brake line interference is occurring the top bracket is too high and needs rotated down, after lots of fitting I got it sitting real nice :) cheers

The Kuryakyn 5664 chin guard is made from chromed plastic. Most everything other cover on my Indian is stamped chromed steel, so this feels cheap to me. I wanted something to be the first line of defense to protect my voltage regulator and the oil filter. I ran some sensors (oil temp and pressure) from an oil filter adapter plate and was looking for more protection for those. besides it being made of plastic the oil filter adapter moved the oil filter out so it contacts the chin guard (I use the K&N filters which have a bolt on the front for easy removal). I'm willing to cut a hole in the guard to accommodate the front of the filter. Unfortunately the Kuryakyn chin guard will not fit with the Indian (Pinnincal) oil cooler cover installed without major modifications. I haven't decided to attempt this yet.

Meh, really feels cheaply made, not difficult but awkward to put on the bike. It’s ok. Looks alright from the front but not so great from the clutch/left side of the bike. I don’t have an oil cooler, might look better with both pieces?
