I have a custom kick stand so I had to modify the extension. it works ok for now. If I had a stock kick stand it would have been easier to install.

Fit perfectly on my 09 Yamaha VStar 650 Silverado motorcycle! No more looking or feeling around for my kickstand anymore. I used to lean over and grab the kickstand to get it far enough away from the frame so I could eventually use my boot to move the kickstand. I definitely recommend this product. It works perfectly and is very sturdy and seems strong enough to last. If you bend this thing then something is definitely wrong with your kickstand! A+++

If you have folding Rider Floorboards, such as the Kuryakin brand heel-toe-shifter rider floorboards that are identified with Kuryakin model KU4038, you'll want one of these sidestand extenders. Just be sure your rider floorboards fully fold "up", which you can do with your left foot on the ground when coming to your stop, and the backward reach for the sidestand (meaning, kick stand), is a breeze. A quality and attractive item, easily installs, looks good.

I replaced my kickstand from my 2014 Superlow 1200 T with a Drag Specialties 1" Extended chrome piece,and this Kuryakyn product fits fine. It makes getting the stand down so much easier... before I had to feel around over and over to catch a bit of the kickstand while my poor old senior legs struggle to balance a 600 lb. plus bike. This is for sure a must have for me. And since I am a chrome freak it looks great too! Highly recommended.

Simple design, looks good and works - once it's on. The extender comes with two nylon lined nuts to prevent the bolt backing out, and the threaded u-bolt was slightly widened to allow it to pass through the clamp mount. Both nuts became extremely tight before the mount was anywhere being secure even though they had threaded on pretty easily at first. I figured that was just the nylon, so power through....nope. The harder of the two nuts snapped the bolt and then the other as well. I wound up substituting another u-bolt on I had on hand, although I had to widen it on the ends to make it fit. Regular nuts as well, but they went on much easier with a little LocTite thrown in.

This started out good. Was able to get my kickstand down much easier. However, it loosens up frequently and bent very easily in process of putting it down. Just normal wear and tear. Kept having to tighten it up all the time. Ok s it sticks out on my Yamaha VStar so much that it literally cut me through my jeans every time it was in up position while trying to walk bike forwards. I now have permanent scares from it.

I picked up the Kuryakyn 7108 Universal Kickstand Extender purely because it looks nice, it would operate around my foot boards and of course, the solid reputation of the Kuryakyn brand.The product came with a beautiful Hard Chrome finish with all of the parts And instructions visible through the clear, vacu-formed package.Upon opening, I found the Chrome parts sealed in plastic wrap and a silica-gel packet as added protection to ensure you receive a pristine product... an extra touch that most other companies don't do.The instructions were clear and concise with full color photographs showing the different installation configurations to meet the needs of your bike.Although not a perfect fit on my 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 2000, it still functions well with occasional readjusting. This is not due to the product itself but due to the polygonal shape of the Kawasaki 2000's kickstand nearest the pad of the stand. I'm sure a little sheet of rubber tubing will fix that issue. Functionally, I can still index it around my foot boards and it's easy to find when I need to put the stand back down.***Again, this is not because of Kuryakyn's design***With anything "Universal" there are concessions that have to be made. If you want "perfect", you'll have to get a manufacturer specific part. :)That having been said, it works as advertised and the finish was flawless.I recommend this product to anyone who is "Altitudinally Challenged" and/or who's feet just don't reach the ground (like me). ;)

Wow what an amazing bit of kit, took about 5mins to fit looks the part and stops the issue of the side disapearing where I cant find it, an absolute must for any one with the cruiser problem
