Since the setscrew will seat in the relief machined in the shift shaft, the setscrew will almost be out of threads once it is fully screwed in. I made a quick trip to the hardware store and picked up a slightly longer setscrew (8-32 x 3/8") which allows for full engagement of the threads once the setscrew has been fully seated into the shaft. And I added a dab of silicone adhesive to the end of the shaft to take any wobble out of the cap. Looks good and allows the removal of the heel shift lever for more space on the floorboard.

It gets the job done - but not the highest grade part. It’s a universal fit so a fair amount of slop - and I would like a tighter fit. Needed a metric wrench to put it on (not included in the packaging). Still looking for a nicer one - this will do for now.

The set screw that keeps it on was poorly machined and was stripped out when it arrived, I returned it.

I had been looking at the faceted version of this same spline cover, but the price drove me to this one. It's not a piece that will be noticed enough for me to justify paying twice the cash for some facets versus a clean cut. The cover installed in minutes, and the included screw was already treated with blue thread locking material. Well made piece that finally let me get rid of that stupid heel shifter.

When installed, the shifter shaft is still exposed. I purchased a steel spacer from Tractor Supply that worked perfectly. I do not recommend this product.

Easy to install and several dollars less than the Harley alternative. The other possibility is to add the chrome spacer between the linkage and the shifter but that is not as clean of a look since you still see the shaft.
