UPDATE - After posting the below 2-star review (which wasn't even that bad or anything), I have received offers of $20 then $30 in Amazon gift cards to remove this review. Absolutely won't. That is so corrupt. I thought AV Access was a reputable company but I guess not. Instead of taking the bribe, I'm knocking off another star.Original Review------------------Solid built switch and does 120hz @ 1080p!, but is slow to switch between inputs. That being said, was a good performer for the last couple years UNTIL I upgraded from an AMD card to an Nvidia 3060 ti. I would switch off the Nvidia system and then it wouldn't switch back. In Linux I managed to dump my monitor EDID and make X use this custom EDID which resolved it mostly, but in some scenarios like rebooting from Windows and/or randomly it still wouldn't come back up when switching back to the Nvidia system.I ended up swapping back to an AMD RX 6800 XT (for this plus other reasons) and this card works fine with it, so there might be something incompatible between Nvidia RTX 30 series and this switch going on.KVM industry side-rant: I don't care if your KVM does 4K@60hz - WOW, that's NOT amazing. Other manufacturers: please list what your KVM does at 1080 or 1440! Shouldn't be this difficult to find out if a KVM can pass 144hz at 1080 or 1440!!

Pros:This hits a great price point for the features it has.I've got it working with a very high-end keyboard many KVMs would have trouble supporting.Using a built-in USB sound device is a nice touch. Itย cuts way down on cabling from so many KVMA switches. It's small and unobtrusive. It switches systems pretty quickly.Comes with USB cables for all four ports.Comes with optional mounting brackets.Comes with a screw-in barrel connector for secure power connection.4k@60 with 4:4:4 YUV chromaMetal enclosureFeels to be well builtHas a spot for a USB peripheral in front, which takes a hub with no issue.Has audio in and out on the front, which connect to the built-in USB audio device. Don't worry, it passes through any USB headset just fine.Cons:No HDR-10No remoteNo hotkey switching (but that doesn't work well on all switches that have it anyway)Single displayComes with no HDMI cables.Thoughts:This is a great value in HDMI KVM/KVMA switches. It has fewer features than some, but it's also less expensive. The features it does have work well. We got two of these. Each is being used with multiple different OSes with no issue. One fairly high-end keyboard has no issues plugged into the designated keyboard port. My Keyboardio Model01 works better if I plug a bog standard USB keyboard into the keyboard port and connect the fancier one to a good quality USB hub going into the front USB port.Any KVM is of course going to have higher input and output lag, which just for kicks I tested on a twitchy FPS (Nexuiz for the curious reader). Yes, it's definitely not suitable for that, at least not for serious play. For browsing, writing code, listening to streams, chat, office apps, graphics editing, or anything like that there's no issue. If you take a break from the seriousness then turn-based games of course are fine. Even on RTSes or some arcade style games you should be able to cope for a while if you must run them on one of the systems connected through the KVM. I wouldn't recommend any KVM for a system dedicated to low-latency input and feedback. This one's not as laggy as some I've tried. I haven't attempted anything like real-time audio mixing yet, but I'm going to go out on a strong, sturdy limb and say that might pose similar challenges. All around, what you get in this switch is the core features of a KVM switch but at higher specs than many and implemented very well. You even get 3.5mm audio jacks on something marketed as just a KVM.

I would give this 5 stars but I cannot get it to work at 4K with 60hz. Everything works fine at 30hz or lower. But the moment I set the refresh rate on the driver to 60, >blamSo Amazon's features they want to get ratings on.. Sheerness, Thickness, and Value for money.Sheerness - Not translucent at all. No matter how hard you try, you will never see through this. Whatever you do, do not string a bunch together and make a table cloth. Your holiday guests will look at you weird.Thickness - It is actually pretty thin. It is much smaller than every other KVM unit I've purchased.Value for money - I think this is high value for the money. $80 for a KVM is a steal.

I bought a new PC and there was no room on the monitor for it. I am sharing a work laptop, a personal laptop, and an old (spare) PC. The monitor only has three ports, so I needed a new KVM switch to share four PCs and laptops on the monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. My old KVM switch was PS/2 keyboard and mouse based, so this freed up a lot of clutter. The old switch this replaced had long snake like cables with three connectors for the mouse, KB, and a VGA monitor port. These were replaced by one USB 2.0 A to B cable and an HDMI cable per system. The AV Access KVM switch came with the USB cables, but they were only 4 or 5 feet long, and one was too short to reach one of my systems. Each of my systems had some issue initially that made me question if they were going to work, but once sorted out, the switch worked fine. The USB port and Audio Out and Mic In ports are a nice feature that allows you to share an external speaker and microphone across your systems. I use the USB port to plug in a USB headset to use with Skype. You can also use the monitor's built-in speakers via HDMI if it has them. This is a great switch to have if you want to share a keyboard, mouse and monitor with a lot of systems.
