The driver side strut of my Pt Cruiser was shot, so I order this one and installed. Now my car ride quality feels like a new. I been use KYB struts for my cars trought the years due to the nice ride quality.

Made in USA and fits the 2004 PT Cruiser Limited perfectly! You will need the coil spring compressor that can be purchased or borrowed at your local Auto Parts Store. Smooth ride reminds me of why I bought the PT Cruiser in the first place. Just be extra careful using the spring compressor, make sure to observe all safety procedures. It's not hard to change them out, just be patient for safety's sake. Enjoy!

Bought 2 of these at the same time from the same vendor in the same transaction.One arrived a few days later from one state over (midwest). The other shipped out a couple days later from Cali, and it arrived several days after the first one. Both of these boxes were packed the same way. NOTHING inside the box, that was too big for the heavy item, ZERO packaging. It could roll several inches either side and the box itself was rather flimsy. Imagine how this end up. The first one was flawless. Pristine packaging, but odd that the item is not secure in the box at all. Open it up, no problem. Looks great.The second that arrived from Cali? Holy crap, I should have taken pics. The plate that the spring rests on had cut/punched through 2 of the sides of the box both big enough for two of my fists to fit inside. And on the top? one clean hole for the rod to slide all the way out. Well there is a bolt threaded onto the top of that rod. And that strut, which could haphazardly flop around in its box, did so, and while I inspected the item, it seemed ok at first glance, wasnt until install that it showed what got damaged do to total lack of packaging inside the box.The nut had its top thread folded inward preventing it to thread onto the rod past a certain point. The damage was not fixable but thankfully, the mechanic happened to find another coarse threaded nut that fit like a charm. The crisis was thankfully averted, but Im not gonna blame the postal service for being to rough. This one is on KYB and their total disregard for securing the contents of their boxes. Or atleast boxes string enough or reinforced enough to endure struts rolling around in boxes that are too big for them.After all that, the strut is well built, installed nicely with the right parts, and rides like a dream. Would buy again, but hope they work on their packaging / contents securing. -1 star for no packing materials.
