These shocks perform better than I had expected. Mounted on a 2003 Ford Excursion that usually tows a trailer. I've had Bilsteins, Ranchos, Monroe SensaTracs and these seem give the best ride so far. Time will tell but I'm more than satisfied today.

2001 Ford Excursion 4x4 V10I replaced what I would assume as the OEM shocks. I purchases these specifically because I tow a roughly 8,000lb travel trailer. The porpoising effect I had before was very noticeable, with these shock that issue is gone. I think these are great for how heavy the Excursion is, these do NOT ride soft though. These are made for a heavy duty application and for my use the work perfect.If your towing heavy, combine these with a rear sway bar and it will get rid of a good majority of the Excursion's suspension issues.

I have had these installed on my 03 Excursion for a year now. No problems or complaints. Installation was straight forward and did not take long. One recommendation for those heading into their own installation - get some replacement extruded nuts for the top mounting points. The factory originals may break anyway, so just plan on having some new ones ready. You will need 4 total. I picked them up at a local hardware store.
