Advertisement states it fits Toyota - Does not fit a 2001 Tacoma prerunner. Found this out after return date had passed -can't return.

Did a DIY install on my 2007 Toyota FJ. Chose this brand because Toyota uses KYB for their factory originals. Easy install, all parts included. Better springs than factory original - more coils, same gauge. Eliminated forward "rake" to my FJ without a lift kit or spacers. I suspect that is due to the improved spring. Ride/handling like new or better. Note for DIY installers - easier to remove the two bolts under the lower control arm rather than upper control arm. You'll need to loosen sway bar bracket bolts on both sides to rotate it out of the way. And remove the sway bar links. Unbolting tie rod ends woul have made installation easier. Due to additional spring coils on this strut, clearance to get the new one in is tighter than getting the old one out.

only issue I had was when I started installing the passenger side strut the bottom wasn't lined up , had to force that bolt in, I am guessing the strut wasn't put together correctly ,

I love KYB. My truck rides like new after installing these KYB quick struts and KYB Gas-adjust rear shocks. I won't lie and say it was an easy job, but I did it by myself in a couple of hours. Be warned, KYB products don't come with the best instructions, but their quality makes up for that.

I used these to replace worn out, leaking struts on my 03 Lexus GX470- what a difference! Rides great, despite the loss/bypass of the adjustable dampening.

This is an excellent product, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a direct replacement strut assembly. Dropped in without any issues and it corrected the front end sag that these 4th gen 4runners suffer from.
