The strut was most likely fine; however, part matching is not correct. I did 2-way search one by inputting year and trim of my car the other by VIN number. both searches stated that this part will fit my car. Unfortunately, it did not. it is about 3" shorter, the bracket for stabilizing bar links is in wrong place as well, since I have my car apart, I have to run to local store and settle for Monroe since they don't have KYB in stock. Another disappointment was the packaging. It is just thin carboard box without any cushioning material inside. By the time UPS drop it at my door the coil already ripped of the side of the box and studs damaged the top of the box. I have to reinforce the box with heavy tape all around for return, or strut will fall out of the box.
