We bought one to try it for our two goldens a few months ago. It worked so well we bought a few more to keep at a vacation home, keep on the deck to brush the dogs when we are outside and give one to our friends who have a golden.

I've brushed my aussie mix 10+ times already with this brush and can tell it is going to last longer than any of the many others I've bought at this price point. Long pin bristle side collects lots of fur from both coats and she loves the soft bristle side for her legs as well as her head and face. No pins falling out yet

This brush is nice to hold and has effective metal brush spikes that terminate with blunt tips that do not hurt the skin. Try it on my own scalp and it's a good refreshing feel. Gets the knots out and makes the hair super smooth. The bristol brush side is no good. The material keeps falling out. Can be annoying.

I was looking for a pin brush to replace one that was falling apart. The like this has pins that are not coated on the end. My last one had little balls of coating and when they came off, the pins were just sharp ends and too harsh to continue to use. These pins are all one piece, blunted at the end by the same metal the pin is made with. The handle is sturdy and just the right size. The bristles on the flip side are a little stiff but do a good job. This is a very well made brush. I use it to get the undercoat out of my Pomeranian mix. I would recommend to anyone.

This brush is the best! It arrived yesterday for a standard poodle and a Scottie and it was great for both. The Scottie is 9 and does not like to be brushed and for the first time he was practically purring in my arms as I groomed him. I typically use a pin brush on the poodle and this seemed as effective and much more gentle. It certainly made the job more enjoyable for both. The brush was the right weight in my hand, seems well constructed and comes in a little canvas bag w drawstring. The pin side is sturdy, w rounded tips and seems flexible yet secure in its rubber base. I usually never bother w endorsements for Amazon purchases but I hope this makes someone else's selection easier.
