I watched a video on installing running board, different brands (claiming it’s a 30 minute job… I’m on day 2’of the install but not working non stop on this project. I also had to remove the rock rails first). I also read the reviews on this brand and most felt that they were easy to install. I personally think they’d be much easier to install if they had less moving parts putting the brackets on the running board (you actually have to bolt the running boards together first, they are NOT one piece….7 pieces including the step bar each). You have to install brackets on to the running boards before installing them and that’s a challenge in itself. Instructions are not clear at all. Some of the parts don’t line up to the bolt holes (I had to leave one bolt out). And tightening up all the bolts after getting the brackets bolted to the floor boards and sides of lower portion of the truck (it is suggested that when putting the brackets on running board, only hand tighten bolts…. Same with bolting along the bottom portion of the truck). After The running boards are installed, THEN tighten up ALL nuts & bolts. I installed them by myself but I recommend 2 people to do this job….. but I DO NOT recommend this product AT ALL as the design is awful. Pay the extra money and buy a quality set of running boards, these miss the quality mark by miles!!!! They are not sturdy at all, lacking the quality, they are flimsy at best. That all said… when the last paragraph of the instructions tell you to crawl under your vehicle periodically and check all bolts for tightness, you have purchased a non-quality product that will more than likely loosen up!!!!! They fit my 2023 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon but they do NOT fit the contour of the bottom of the Jeep. These are straight where the bottom of the Jeep has a slight bow. So there’s a gap up front and at the back. It is not pretty, you can see all the silver bolts & washers behind the Running boards. Again, you get what you pay for…..junk!

Bolted right up to factory mounting spots. Great looking running board, makes it easy to get up I to a Jeep with a 6 in lift. Well built rugged coating for non slip footing.Item was installed on a 2008 Jeep Rubicon. Item has wide foot pad making for a secure entrance and exit from jeep, both front and back seats. I tem has a middle step so you can access the top of your jeep. Great addition.

As noted elsewhere, instructions are not the best. However, the middle frame brackets were correctly marked.I found it easier to attach the angle and frame brackets to the step rail first before attaching the step rail to the truck. I used a step stool (see picture) to hold up one end while I bolted in the other. The frontmost bolts could stand to be a little longer. I had to use a pair of vise grips to squeeze the frame bracket to the body pinch weld to get the bolt to extend far enough so that the nut (with washer) could get a bit of purchase. In addition to 13 mm and 10mm sockets, you will need 13 mm and 10mm angled box end wrenches (see picture). It'll be obvious where the box end wrenches will be needed. As also noted elsewhere, the rails are straight while the body curves. This is most noticeable at the rear (see picture). From a sufficient distance, though, it looks fine.

But in all seriousness... hahaha. These were so easy to install. I did put them on our truck with the help of my 8 year old. Everything lined up perfectly. They've been on our truck for a year or so and I will say they are peeling and rusty in spots. But I'm still super happy with them. They are still holding up perfectly aside from that. So for the price again super happy with them! Saves me from jumping to get into the truck so I'll take it.

I ordered these based upon the visual representation in other people's reviews. As mentioned in other reviews, the middle brackets were opposite of the instructions, right being left, left being right. If you keep that in mind, the installation is super easy. The horizontal bolts first, vertical bolt next, tighten horizontal trim bolts, add bar to barckets and tighten everything after getting all bolts seated.Looks great.I'm only 160lbs and it did have some give to it when I tried it out. A little more lightweight and thinwalled than I would have expected, but then you get what you pay for, and these are a budget option.

Pros: solid as a bumper. Way better than the last ones I bought, and for the same price. One person install, with no individual super heavy parts. All the nuts and bolts were the same size!! So no need to switch between tools. I recommend a 13 ratchet, and an open ended 13. You can get away with other options.Tips: Sort your nuts, bolts, and washers into each set in advance. Saves you time as you put them on. Bolt the brackets on by hand. Then mount the rail with one bolt on each end to hold in place. Then add the rest of the rail bolts. Then fully tighten your brackets. Then tighten your rail nuts. I used a cordless impact wrench to do the rail bolts, as space allowed. Driver side is left, passenger side is right.Cons: the instructions are lack luster, but pay attention to the bracket diagram as it clearly shows how they go. Mine were labeled wrong!? Literally forge stamped wrong, but I had all needed parts thank God. I gave it 5 stars as I felt the missed stamp was okay since I got the right parts, and the weak instructions had enough that I could figure it out. Small tweak to the instructions would be to label left/right or to switch to using D for driverside and P for passenger, and a close up for the proper placement of washers on the vehicle. If you have some common sense you will be fine!
