Great value for the size but there seems to be a lack of uniformity with these. I use it for overbuilding yeast starters with a magnetic stir plate. The first one I received had a large curve in the base and would throw the stir bar. Returned it and the replacement is flat & works great.

Thick glass, stands up to direct heat on the stove, has a decently flat surface inside and spins a mixing bar fine. Mine came with some sort of baked on crud inside, scrubbed out fine but still annoying. Make sure you have room for storage, it's a beast of a flask

Bought this to use with the blue magnetic stirrer also sold on Amazon. Barely fits the base of it, but it works. This thing is BIG! I bought this for doing yeast starters. Put everything in the flask and put it directly on my glass top electric stove. No issues except for me not watching for the volcano effect while boiling.....what a mess. Only thing I can find wrong with this is the 4000ml line was under by a 1/16 of an inch. Could be my measuring....close enough for the price.

Good price and seems to be well made. Black spots on the inside were very difficult to clean and questions answered by the manufacturer stated that the opening inner diameter was 45 mm when it is actually 40 mm, so now I have to order a smaller stopper before I can use it.

Using this for homebrew yeast propagation. Size, 4000 ml, is more than enough for my use case. Good sturdy build, thick glass. Very flat bottom help silent operation when on a stir plate.Great product at a very attractive price. Highly recommended.

I was worried this would be of low quality, given how cheap it was. But I've made dozens of yeast starters in it now (which entails filling it with boiling water and then quickly cooling it down), and I haven't had any issues. Can confirm, is actually good borosilicate. No issues on unboxing, well shipped, not dirty, markings are clean and accurate. If the negative reviews to the contrary were ever correct, they've since been fixed.

Looks to be a great product. Unfortunately, it arrived with some mystery substance burnt onto the bottom of it which seemingly nothing will remove.Completely useless for its intended purpose(yeast starters), unless I can 100% clean off what the previous owner burnt into it.

Purchased for homebrew use. This flask is well made, thick glass, flat bottom, and perfect for doing big yeast starters on the stir plate. I couldn’t believe the price, at half the price of similarly sized flasks, I thought it was too good to be true. Knocked it two stars because of the crap I had to clean out of it. I’m still not sure what it was, but it looked like globs of glue smeared on the inside of the glass. I have a carboy brush that easily reaches down inside, but I still had a heck of a time, it just didn’t want to come off. Beside that, the flask is nice. Looking forward to using it for an upcoming tripel
