Use:
This Hollow glass stoppers precision ground glass stoppers are used to close glassware items including Boiling flasks,volumetric flasks,Separatory funnels, and cylinders to Keep air and water out of a reaction for uncontaminated reaction testing. The frosted, precision-ground glass surfaces make a good seal when properly greased and are extremely versatile.
Do I need to greese the joint stopper?
- If you plan to heat your materials
- you need to make sure that air and water are excluded from the system
- and/or you want to make sure the joint does not freeze, then you must do so.
24/40 Standard Taper Ground Glass Inner Joints
24/40 Outer joint is 24 mm wide at the top (the widest part) and is 40 mm in longth. Standard Taper Ground Glass Joints are interchangable. For either frosted, presicon-ground standard taper joints (same size), the inner ground surfaces (male joint) make a good seal with the outer(female joint)).

As described - received 5 of these and they are surprisingly more durable than I thought. I accidentally dropped 2 of these from a height of 4 feet onto hardwood floors and they didn't show any signs of being dropped. Quality glassware.
