If you have water in your cylinder, you need to replace these gaskets!! This is made of the same material as an exhaust gasket, which is better than the paper/cardboard material everyone else makes theirs out of. It took me a while to get my sealing surfaces flat. The thermal cycling this area is exposed to, causes the gasket surfaces to warp. If you don’t inspect for flatness, and correct if needed, you are setting yourself up for failure. You can use a small/med mirror or piece of glass, and a sheet of sand paper stuck to it. I used a large, flat file, then finished it with a stone designed for helping to flatten and polish sealing surfaces.

Took my risers off to clean them out this year. Used these gaskets between the manifold and riser on each side with some exhaust sealant. Worked well. Good value!
