I bought this in June ‘21 but forgot to post a review.This cheap Chinese knock off did not last 2/3 of a season. I replaced with the OEM part from Briggs & it lasted 3+ seasons. What made me remember to write a review, is because the engagement coupler on the flywheel broke & the pieces trashing everything in there. So…… replacing again. Gotta love plastic.Trust me, stick with the OEM for replacement of anything mechanical. The knock offs are so inferior, it’s not worth the effort.

I was very surprised when I discovered that the OEM piece was plastic! I shouldn't have been, but I was. The replacement part was only $23 or $24 and it was also plastic. I was skeptical that it would fit, but it did and it worked. I can now start my Toro mower.

I could hardly believe that for this price, I could get the whole recoil starter rope assembly absolutely ready to drop right in. I've rewound my share of pull-ropes - and fiddled with the springs - and ended up with 3 inches of rope still sticking out and have to do it all over. I wasn't going to do it again. I was going to buy a new mower, but my neighbor said he'd re-string it for me. As I went online to get a new rope for him to use, I saw that the whole assembly was CHEAP. I couldn't believe my eyes. The old assembly came out with 3 bolts, and this new one dropped right in with the same 3 bolts. Save yourself an hour of hassle, get this now.

Bought this part. Broke after 4 pulls. Do not buy. Instead, buy it direct from manuf. spare parts list. Nothing worse than lost time and aggravation on cheap replacement parts. Never again.
