It's not just a dual coil trying to emulate a single coil. This is a true Single coil and it's our quiet noise reduced Sensor design! We added to a classic design. This revised and enhanced new lace sensor Hot Gold has slightly stronger output. They retain all the definition of the regular Gold Lace Sensors but add a firm bottom and singing mid range. Excellent from clean to vintage growl. Our new most popular pickup. These Lace Sensor Hot Gold's have a fat, full bottom end, a singing midrange and all the high end sparkle and class you would expect from a killer Start everything is there like never before. Three-notes into these pickups and you too will hear the greatness we have all been waiting for.

AS A STRAT PLAY SINCE 1974, I LOVE THE STRAT TONE, AND THE HOT GOLD IS EVERYTHING I WANTED. I WAS NOT A BIG FAN OF THE EARLY STRAT PLUS,, THEY CAME WITH GOLD LACE SENSORS. THEN I TRIED BLUE, AND RED LACE SENSORS. DID NOT LIKE THEM, I WENT TO DIMARZIO'S, I LIKE THEM A LOT, BUT THE NEW HOT GOLD LACE HAS EVERYTHING I WANT. I HAVE THIS SET UP IN FOUR OF MY STRATS NOW. AND I WOULD NOT BUILD ANOTHER STRAT WITHOUT THIS SETUP. I DO ALWAYS PUT IN A SWITCH SO I CAN HAVE THE NECK AND BRIDGE PICKUPS ON AT THE SAME TIME, AND NOW I GET THAT LP / AND GRETSCH SOUND. SO A GREAT PICKUP FOR ME. AND I HAVE TRIED MANY ! IF YOU LIKE STRATS, AND THEIR TONES, THESE ARE JUST GREAT, ANDE TO ME, A LOT BETTER THEN ANYTHING THAT FENDER HAS TO OFFER AT ANY LEVEL.

My guitar tech installed the pickups and we kept getting noise ground ham sound from the pickups! my guitar is shielded and my guitar tech connected the pickups direct avoiding the electrical wire on the guitar so we can hear only the pickups and they still generate a lot of noise compared to my noiseless fender alnico pickups on my other fender guitar, we tried everything and we got to the conclusion that the lace sensor hot gold Pickups. are not as noiseless as advertised. I would like to mention that I paid around one hundred pounds to the guitar tech to check every possible combination checking the wiring and shielding of my American Fender Strat guitar in every possible way so I'm very disappointment with buying the pickups. in the end I ordered A FENDER VINTAGE NOISELESS PICKUPS MY TECH GUY PUT THEM ON THE SAME AMERICAN STRAT GUITAR AND THEY BY FAR BETTER SOUNDING AND COMPLETELY NOISELESS COMPARE TO THE HOT LACE SENSOR! Having said that I do like the lace sensor gold sound but i have to say that the hot gold are not as good and generate a lot of ham/ground noise. they nothing like the fender noiseless alnico pickups and they generate a lot of noise compare to the noiseless fender pickups .

I had my Fender Stratocaster guitar since 1998 and really like its performance but needed a change in its sound. In the past, I had another Fender Stratocaster with "Fender Lace Sensors: Red, Silver, and Blue" (yes, the Lace Sensors were formerly made by Fender) and the sound was good with some sustain, but not terrific. In this opportunity, I decided to try the Hot Gold w/Hot Bridge Lace Sensors and got really surprised with their crisp and warm sound, along with great sustain, which was exactly what I wanted for my guitar when I played rock and hard. For your information, the "Hot Bridge" sensor provides a nice boost for the bridge pick-up without compromising sound quality. In summary, I am very happy with these pick-ups and strongly recommend them for rock and hard rock.

I was lost between the various types of Lace Sensor pickups as they all suit different musical styles. I finally settled for the Hot Golds w/ Hot Bridge because they seem to be the most popular and have the most praises of the lot.The pickups have a nice matte finish on the top with the shiny words Lace Sensor Hot Gold written in gold on them, the hot bridge is written in bronze for differentiation. Now I don't consider myself to have a sensitive, musically trained ear, and I'm definitely not the best guitarist, but even so I could hear the subtle yet big difference between these pickups and the Japan standard Strat pickups on my 2010 MIJ. The hot golds really give it a more singing and complete tone. The bridge position although hot at 13k, retains the sound of a single coil and has an awesome feel to it. The sound isn't exactly vintage though, so you will wanna look into something else if that's what you want.Noise is almost non existent even at higher gain levels. I also have these set closer to the strings since the magnets are covered up.If you're unsure about what pickups to purchase, but want your guitar to retain the Strat sound we've all come to love, you won't go wrong with these!UPDATE 16/9/2014:I've been using these pickups for a little over a year now and I'm happy to report they're still great. As I gained more musical knowledge and improved my playing, I found the Hot Golds to be able to handle different styles of music pretty well as long as you know how to play with your effects. Its biggest draw back however, is that if you're looking for that traditional bell-like chime of the Stratocaster, you're probably not going to find it on the Hot Golds. Which is a shame because even my stock pickups had more of the quackiness of the middle/bridge position, while the Hot Golds had noticeably less of it. You're gonna have to work your effects and EQ to bring them back, and I couldn't do that easily, or perhaps my EQ'ing just sucks. With that said, I'm now considering swapping these out for a the Seymour Duncan Classic Stack STK-4 or Suhr V60LP some time in the future, because recently I feel the need for a more vintage tone and the Hot Golds seem to belong in a different class of tone. Don't get me wrong, I'm not changing because they sound bad, but rather because my preferences have changed.

They sound great. I read a lot of reviews that said these types of pickups lose the "strat" sound, but honestly, they don't. They just remove some of the hum that we all hate.

Very good pickups.Very surprising in the begining because you have to make some adjustements to the typical settings you have on your amps. You must add trebles and you have the perfect crisp and twang from a single coil. The bass are not too present but the middles sing and you have a good presence.I'll certainly by another set with normal output 6K on bridge pickup.
