My old one was caulked to the side of my brick home and after about ten years of PA weather, the louvers were cracking. Luckily this one was exactly the same, and I found out I could just pop the old louvers out and replace them without changing the whole body. Five minute job.

hard to install because my deck is wacky and covers half the opening. That’s not on them though.The flaps open easily when air blows and i’ve has on for about 6 months now and it’s still working great. Takes a beating in upstate ny and still is great.

This is the first time I have installed a louvered style vent for my dryer. I've always used the flapper style in the past. Its all plastic and pure white. The louvers easily flap open to exhaust the warm air. When they close, they seem to be fairly flush not allowing insects to enter. I did not like the round extended collar because it could not fit inside the exhaust pipe thereby sticking out from the wall several inches. I wanted to keep it so I sawed off the white protruding collar almost flush. It worked out well allowing for me to bolt the four corners so the duct now fits securely to the outside wall. There are pre-drilled screw holes on all four corners of the duct. It's slightly flimsy but overall designed well for opening and closing making a secure seal. I would recommend this item.

The old cover was easily removed with the help of a flat edged screw driver. The new cover is a perfect tight fit.I tapped it in with a small tack hammer., and saw no need for caulking. I popped it out again to clean the vent pipewith a flexible vent pipe brush, and popped it back in again. I recommend no screwing or caulking for easy vent cleaning.

exactly what we needed to keep the dang birds out of our dryer vent. even with the standard hole flipper thing they were getting in and building a nest, and occasionally we would get a bird in the dryer. the plastic is thin enough that they will open when the dryer is on, but I'm not totally sure how durable it will be. so far it's been on for about a year and works great.

This cover did the trick and was easy to install. Thanks to the replies I got, the flange was about an 1" and fit perfectly over the vent pipe. Ordering another one, so I have a backup.

I had bought 200 pcs for a project used. The 200 pcs you send to me has two different type of material. One PVC is soft and good. a lot is hard pvc with is easily crack. I did not count how many quantity for that. The hard PVC material type of Louver Vent face cannot last long under rain and sun. Will be crack after time. Even during installation the screw had break the vent cover. I feel disappointed.
