For the casual laminator tasks, this set is perfect. It comes with everything you need for an affordable price. The 3-minute warmup is awesome, and probably one of my favorite features about this unit... but ultimately I have to say the size and portability make this a killer deal if in the market for a laminator.

This is a nice laminator makes quick work of protecting documents and photos. It comes with ample sleeves to get you started. There's also a bunch of little goodies included like a paper cutter, loose binder rings and a hole punch. This little guy does a good job of laminating and that's what I needed. I'm happy with this and absolutely recommend.

This laminator was an impulse order, as I have things laying around that I keep saying "I need to laminate that and...." but then I never take them to get that done. I don't have the space for a full size laminator, so when I saw this I decided to give it a try. My favorite aspect of this machine is that it is very small and portable. It comes with enough included sleeves that you can get started right away, without having to order any other supplies. I like the hole punch and the included rings, though those are a bit flimsy and I likely will not use them. This device allowed me to laminate several important cards for my wallet that were getting rough around the edges, and I'm sure I will find many more uses for it. The dual settings mean that I can safely laminate anything from a photo to a document without worrying my item will be damaged. The machine heats up fairly fast, and though there is a bit of a smell that is to be expected when you are working with heated plastic. It does go away pretty quickly. I wasn't put off by the small amount of heated plastic smell at all, though if you are sensitive to smells like that maybe you'll want to use this in a well ventilated area.Overall I am glad that I ordered this. It isn't a top notch machine with all the bells and whistles, but it's solid for what it's designed for, good quality, and portable which makes it a great item for my house. I would absolutely order it again.

I didn't expect much from a $35 hot laminating machine that comes with a good deal of accessories.I was wrong in my assumptions! This machine works well, and the included accessories do too!Machine comes with a small assortment of laminating sleeves/envelopes, a cutting device, a hole punch, a corner cutter/rounder, and some split rings.For my test, I laminated a few card I carry in my wallet (Medicare card, and a paper membership card to an outdoor facility). I wanted to see how well the lamination stuck to the cards, and wanted to know if the lamination was glued on only one side, or both sides. Turns out both pieces (front and back of the sleeve) have adhesive affixed. I've tried cold lamination in the past for cards, and only one side had adhesive. Problem is my wallet can only hold cards that are their normal size. You add lamination with it's border that sticks out past the end of the card and it then wont fit in my wallet. I've cut the clear border off in the past, and one piece of lamination would then fall off the card, as only one side had adhesive. Hopefully I got it right and had the adhesive side on the front of the card....But I digress. This hot lamination had adhesive on both sides. I cut off the clear border to make the cards fit my wallet and both front and back lamination stayed securely glued to the cards.The laminating sleeves appear to be frosted, and have a logo on one side. This was a little off-putting! In use though, once run through the machine (set on hot), the frosting disappeared totally as did the logo. I was left with a crystal clear laminated card(s) and no logo to be seen. So, there does not appear to be a front and back to the sleeves. They will work in either direction.The included paper cutter worked quite well. The sliding blade was more than sufficiently sharp to slice through two layers of lamination and the paper card contained within (I accidentally cut too close to the paper and it took it right off no problem).I used the hole punch on an old laminated card I had andit easily cut a perfectly round hole through all three layers. No ragged edges.The corner cutter also worked quite well. You stick a corner into the cutter with the sides of your item resting against the stops, and the cutter snips off the tiniest bit of the corner leaving a nicely rounded "corner". Again, quite cleanly cut.The rings are OK quality. I guess they are to be used if you want to hang a laminated item on a lanyard or similar.You take your laminated item, punch a hole with the included punch, and then open a hinged ring and put it through the hole in your item to hang the ring ion whatever you want. Me, I don't trust hinged rings. I'd opt for a standard key ring that you need to "spin" through a hole. They cannot accidentally open up unannounced!The only pause for concern I had was that during the initial warmup, there was a bit of smoke that emanated from both ends of the laminating machine. Just a few wisps, and nothing more. I'm assuming it was some sort of assembly lubricant burning off.The machine took about 3 minutes from turn on before the green light lit, signifying the machine was ready to use. I placed my items in the sleeve into the machine (closed end of the sleeve first. Closed end is the end with the see-through strip at the edge), and it slowly fed the sleeve through the machine without issue.All in all, this machine works well. It gives you everything you need to get started without having to purchase anything else. Obviously, you'll have to get more sleeves of the correct size and thickness once you run out of the starter kit they provide in the box. For the asking price, this is a no brainer!!!!I rate this item 5 stars.

Everything that comes with this set is pretty nice overall. I wouldn't say its hiquality though, some of the things like the corner cutter feels very generic.Now on the laminator part, it works as described. I havent had any issues so far and the instructions are pretty straightforward.I did have a few laminated pictures bend and curl when trying to do a partial lamination, so I highly recommend to test before use.When laminating full pictures, back and front, never had a problem and I've been using it so far for two months on my small business.
