Installation on this filter takes less than 30 minutes which is easy if your above ground pool already has hosing. For a mid size pool takes about 45 minutes to have clean and really crystal clear water. Also, it comes with a pack of small filter balls which I started using them, but I rather to use sand. Moreover, pump is super quiet and strong.

I'll say up front that my favorite value pump is Aquastrong, but this one is fine also.I prefer the models with the built-in timer feature. I do not recommend dual speed or variable speed.This will service up to 7,000 gallons, which is approximately a 21 foot round pool. But it will fit a huge range of sizes.The valve is easy to turn. Everything here is pretty self-explanatory. Just about everything you need is in here. The only thing you'll need is hosing - most new pools come with hosing, or use your existing hosing.This comes with 1.25 and 1.5 inch adapters.The 12 inch filter holds up to 55 pounds of sand. By itself, nothing here is too heavy to move around. This filter will accept pool balls instead of sand, which weigh almost nothing. But I don't recommend it. The pool balls are great filters, but they don't backwash very well, so in my experience you have to open up the filter and wash them manually periodically. I just prefer sand.However, there is a way to reduce stress on your sand filter, and reduce the need to backwash. The easier solution is to use a skimmer sock in your skimmer, and throw maybe 10 pool balls in your skimmer basket. They will catch a large percent of your algae.

Easy install. Definitely can tell a difference in water color and quality. Filters a large pool.

I'm actually super happy with this sand filter. I was a little worried after looking at the reviews but we have a really good pool guy who has been doing stuff like this for years and years so he was easily able to take care of it and help us out with getting it installed. He is a good friend of our family so he's always willing to come over and help out. He said this was actually pretty simple and straightforward to get installed if you are familiar with doing it. If you aren't you could always hire a trusted pool expert to take care of it for you. Function wise dysfunction's great and does everything that it is supposed to do. We have not had a single issue with it. We did get it for our vacation home in Florida so we will be using this a lot more than not. Especially with this upcoming season. Everything works soundly as it should the quality is awesome it's pretty thick and durable. I would say they could bulk up the quality just a tad bit and that would be my one note for them. Other than that everything works great and it's going to last us for years to come at least so we are happy campers! Functions perfectly as it should and filters great! 10 out of 10 great value for your money

This thing leaks from everywhere. Instructions also mostly assume you know what your doing for the most part. Seems to filter fine though. Other than loosing like 2 gal of water a day. Just throw the hose end end of the week for 15min though so meh.
