design seems great for relative with low vision. handset never worked, and about 10 minutes after we programmed the big auto-dial buttons they stopped working - would not dial the numbers. keypad buttons also did not dial a number. very lightweight base that shifted on the table every time the handset was picked up. very disappointed, returned immediately.

Great value for money. My elderly mother finds this phone easy to use, the numbers are readible, clear sound and looks good for her sitting area. Overall the performance is excellent.

Got this for my Mom in assisted living. She has dementia so some simple tasks are hard for her to figure out. This phone allows her to just push a picture of me to call. There are enough presets for family and friends. It was simple to add pictures and program. She also can hear me without her hearing aids so that is a plus too. Volume is great and ease of use makes this phone perfect.

The phone works off the phone line voltage that's present on MOST phone jack installations. That's important if your line doesn't have that already--some installations may lack the 6V connect--so check first. This phone is great because it doesn't require a nearby AC outline to operate, but you must have that line voltage.Other than that, we really love the photo buttons. It took a couple of tries to print out photos that were the right size and worked inside the buttons, but it wasn't too much work. Mom has a similar feature on her smart phone, so now she's doing push-the-picture dialing always. Much easier.

There is good and bad about this phone. The phone is easier to use, and the traditional phone appearance makes it less likely for the seniors to confuse the phone versus the TV remote. The picture option makes it easy for seniors to call their family members and care givers. The large buttons also make it easier to use. The sound can be turned up so they can hear it when they aren't wearing their hearing aids, but the ring sound is awful and piercing -- it is a really irritating sound.

We added photos of each child and grandchild that would be an emergency number that's close by. It works great, she can see who she's calling and the # is programed in with each picture. Ring volume is loud enough to hear from across the house and she can hear great with the speaker phone or the hand set. Worth the money for the young, middle or older.

Only had this 7 months. Occasionally erases pogrammed numbers. Now the ringer doesn't work, so we don't know when someone is calling. It's a good concept, but a throw away, garbage product. Do not recommend.

I really like that you can put photos on the buttons so that it’s easy for elderly people to call others. However, for people with dementia, the programming buttons are too prominent and get pushed frequently. This wipes out any programmed speed dial button that is pressed next. The programming/store buttons need to be hidden on the back of the phone under a panel. I frequently have to reprogram the phone when I visit. The handset isn’t overly sturdy and has already been broken. There is something rattling inside and the speaker stopped working. People with dementia are not gentle with things and I wish this were more solid of a build. If you have an elderly person who understands how to call and you just want an easy phone for them to use then this is the right phone for them. If they are confused and will push anything they can until they reach someone then I would avoid this.
