I ordered this for my grandson's graduation from college. I like the map, but why is there no scratch off tool??? Very disappointed re the fact that scratching it off without a tool can damage it!!

My kid loves doing these. This is the best quality we have tried though. Usually after scratching the colors are faded but the flags on here are bright and smooth!

We have mounted the map on foam core board and placed it in a frame. It looks great. Takes time and care to remove the countries' cover, but definitely worth the effort. Have not damaged the map when removing the countries' cover. Great product.

I've just received my map and the first impression is really good! I started scratching off a couple of countries and the results are satisfactory. It will be only challenging for some regions like Europe. I used the black plastic tool that came in the kit and it was really hard keep just under the borders for Czech Republic. A brush to help with the cleaning would be nice as I saw in other maps kit... Also, I'd like to have the provinces borders as done for the USA for other big countries, such as Brazil! Overall it is a beautiful gift! I'm adding photos that may help you seeing details a bit unclear on the original product images. I'd buy it again, no regrets!

I got this for a friend for her birthday. It came in its own box and was very well packaged. Friend has it up on her wall and her and her kids are look forward visiting another country just so they can scratch it off and bring more colour to the map. 🗺

Love it! Scratching stuff off is crazy fun. The flags are a welcome addition to every other similar item out there. My only tiny nitpicks:1- As others mentioned, it's a little smaller than you might be expecting.2- The roll is fairly tight, and you'll have to contort it a bit to get it to lie flattish. They do provide some instructions to help though.3- As a result, mine came with a few areas where the foil was lightly scraped or damaged during this flattening process (or maybe even before then). And in the process of scratching off some of the places I've been, I caused a few more to appear with my hand or palm.4- The foil outlines don't precisely match the map underneath, mine had some offset, so you will occasionally screw up scratching things off on the borders.5- Since each US state is separate, and more colors costs more to produce (I assume), some neighboring states are the same color, which is a small shame.6- 210 flags are included, so some additional "countries" like Aruba and Abkhazia are included, but other similar ones like Curacao are not. It's just a little random, but they're listed alphabetically so either it's there or it's not.Don't let my list fool you. These are tiny nitpicks. Overall it's an awesome map, and lots of fun to research which little islands or border countries to scratch off.Tip: I used a flosser pick to do my scrapings. Thin and pointy enough for detail work, but stiff enough to scrape the foil without damaging the plasti-paper underneath.
